No one is denying this, but funny how certain people insist on acting like it's only the women who're affected.

Again this is entirely your prejudice talking; men can be and are called pigs (in a variety of contexts) and worse all the time and nobody notices or thinks anything of it, but let a woman be spoken of or to with anything other than deferential adoration and it's like the world is ending.

You suspect it on on the basis of nothing but prejudice

Men on average have more muscle and higher metabolisms than women which makes my statement necessarily true.

oh and one other thing

the only reason men aren't showing it all in movies and in real life if that they don't expect to get a universally, or even predominantly, positive reaction from women. If they did they would be.

Thursday, July 9, 2009 12:14 AM

oh and just to be clear NOBODY has EVER seen a vagina in a non x-rated movie EVER

they may have seen some associated structures on rare occasions.

You didn't mention what I think may be the most significant one "Lie with Me"

The full frontal wasn't really emphasized although it was there, but it was a real movie with real actors with a lot (well some) actress hand on hard cock action.

And I know big men who eat less than me and yet are quite noticeably fat. There's a lot of individual variation.

Yes there is a lot of individual variation but this doesn't change the fact that the AVERAGE women will be a fat pig if she eats as much as the AVERAGE thin/athletic man. The preferred solution so far is to redefine any women who isn't yet bedridden by obesity as BBW and justify it by screaming about objectification, pleasing men, etc. Judging by the number of angry and obese women with a sense of entitlement that there are (more of less)walking around the strategy is apparently wildly successful. How much good it will do everybody, or anybody, in the long term is another question.

Original article: The end (of men) is coming!

Who will women sue for child support

Each other of course, in fact they already are.

A society of mules would be the first good step toward doing away with gender, sexuality and libido and all the waste that entails.

Yes in theory men could probably figure out a way to create people without women, the difference is that very few men want to be parents without women, but lots, well some, women want to do it without men. It is also much simpler technically for women (although there still are bugs to be worked out, this won't happen tomorrow and even when it starts it will take quite a while to have a huge practical effect, the more immediate question will be what will be the effects of everyone knowing this is happening).

the question is how low would the percentage of men have to get before women would value them. I'm afraid it might be zero

When women get scare men want them more but I think if men were irrelevant to the functioning of the society women would lose interest altogether. It is not at all clear that a male body is intrinsically compellingly interesting to women simply because it is a male body (and mind). Unlike the case with male interest in females. I do hear though that in womens prisons the most sought after dykes are those who are the most indistinguishable form men so maybe the situation is not as hopeless as it appears.

If you allow gay female couples to produce children using the combined genetic material of both of them then the population will EVENTUALLY become overwhelmingly female. Period.

Unless the percentage of gay women changes, the percentage of gay women who want their own biological children changes, or unless something is done to produce "extra" men to compensate. All of these things could happen but the point is that simply allowing reproductive freedom will NECESSARILY lead to this change unless something is actively done to prevent it or people change what they want.

Original article: Women: The choosier sex?

yet another example of male choosieness equal to female

A woman who stabbed her lover in the back when she caught him with his trousers down is to marry him - after being spared jail for the attack.

Candy Lyons is set to wed Robert Goldthorpe - despite plunging a carving knife into him when she caught him with his trousers down with her best friend.

Mr Goldthorpe always maintained he was not cheating on Lyons - but merely showing off an old gardening injury on his upper thigh caused by a hedge trimmer.

if a behavior/attitude/approach is primarily engaged in by one sex or another why is it such a big deal if people make a mistaken assumption

once in a while. Real discrimination is something else entirely.

sugary liquids are an order of magnitude worse for your teeth than anything else you can put on them because the sugar gets everywhere and is not rubbed off by chewing

so even apart from the calories EVERYONE should drink diet coke or no Coke at all. Everyone that I know, male and female, who drinks cola of any kind drinks diet, except for a few fat people with rotten teeth who are obsessed with "real" sweetness.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 10:58 AM

everyone should be able to eat what they like but NOT ONE IS ENTITLED TO BE A FUTURE INVALID DUE TO THEIR PIGGISHNESS

we don't give liver transplants to drug addicts and alcoholics who refuse to stop. Maybe the solution is that no one should be be provided with any form of socially subsidized medical care to deal with the consequences of their overeating.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 10:49 AM

by the way I think that most or at least a great deal of the much discussed male emotional coldness, incompetence, lack of awareness, lack of ability to express/deal with feelings etc, etc, etc,

is due to the fact that most people are raised, and are themselves in, relationships where the women is not really into the guy she is with. Most women, once they have got themselves knocked up a few times, seem to be able to be a whole and somewhat fulfilled person in asexual relationships with the relatives and pseudo relatives that are helping her raise the kids. A man who becomes cut off from, or never had, the capacity to generate a real sexual response in women tends to withdraw from life on some level.

the problem Randy is not screaming abuse, everyone agrees on that, but a lot of people think that as long as the parents are quiet

the fact that they are totally miserable doesn't have significant negative effects on the kids (leaving aside the question of whether people ought to be miserable). Some people don't really care about sex or romantic love but most do and the issue is what happens to the kids when people who are living without who don't want to are the kids primary social relationship. I think it may have significant negative effects.

I really despise most of the effects of crazed Christian fundie inroads in Africa, Uganda even has a Chritian version of Al Quaida though you wouldn't know it from the media here, however in this case

it seems that there is a beneficial effect. While the long term solution to fanaticism is an absence of fanaticism sometimes in the short term a conflicting version can be more effective in counteracting the effects of a another flavor.
