again I didn't say it was impossible for women to get turned down,
[Read the article: So much for my happy ending]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]it took three tries for the women in the article to score. VERY VERY VERY FEW men could get an equivalently quick result in an equivalent situation. Again the question comes up, why all the hostility in addition to all the denial.
-
personally I've never had a problem with women not being tight enough
[Read the article: "WTF" of the day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]but maybe that's just me
-
It's not the women who are unsatisfied without Viagra
[Read the article: "You don't feel like it, but you do it for him"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]That isn't always true.
-
assuming that you will be working at mcdonalds for minimum wage all your life a case could be made that it's better to be doing that with a baby at 18
[Read the article: Teen pregnancy: "Rational long-term economic choice"?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]than with a baby at 30.
-
almost everybody feels at a social disadvantage and that they are not getting what they want but there is a more specific political reason why the "men and women are in the same position" line is maintained with such absurd vehemence
[Read the article: So much for my happy ending]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]and that is that once you acknowledge that men and women are in a different position in ways that matter in this area it's much harder to avoid the possibility that some of the disagreements between them may be due to something other than male stupidity or a conspiracy to keep women down.
-
Jee-zuzz: The Senior Anti-Sex League is comprised almost entirely of feminists.
[Read the article: "WTF" of the day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Fundies make up a huge chunk of their membership too. The question is whether it is only the feminist members that do real damage because the fundies are part of an isolated subculture which nobody (except for the republican party, president, congress, etc) pays any attention to.
-
If you betray that trust, even if 'they asked for it', then you probably shouldn't be in any position of power, because you lack the responsibility and impulse control to handle it.
[Read the article: So much for my happy ending]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The premise that sex between consenting adults is a betrayal of trust is the issue here. Lots of people simply don't believe that it is in most circumstances, or at least they disagree over when the "position of power" in question makes it impossible to give real consent. I have a difficult time feeling that the "power" a masseur has over you interferes in any way.
-
What PRECISELY is the problem with us not liking this ad?
[Read the article: Used women are like used cars?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Because it implies a desire to control the sexual behavior and even the thoughts of others.
-
as their fellow sex police in the anti abortion movement well know, just because the law is ultimately against you
[Read the article: Janet Jackson's nipple not "actionably indecent"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]doesn't mean you can't force a lot of people to follow your beliefs or pay for not doing so, at least for a time.
-
Oh, Bill. At least you don't need to worry about being covered for Viagra: You're already a dick.
[Read the article: O'Really?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I think he does need to worry because in fact he IS a COMPLETELY USELESS dick.
-
Is it because women, more so than men, are balancing work and family obligations
[Read the article: Equal opportunity unemployment]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]this is sort of an odd way of desribing the fact that men have to earn money, no matter what, and women, because they can often rely on men, won't take just anything (the actual article made it unambiguously clear that this was in fact the situation for many women).
-
EVEN Rex Reed!
[Read the article: Theatrical battle of the sexes?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]i think you're in danger of getting you PC credentials revoked.
-
be as fat as you like WHEN
[Read the article: "Fat Princess"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]you pay all the extra medical costs/equipment costs/compensation-mitigation-for-all-that-money-could-have-been-used-for costs/etc/etc/ associated with your obesity yourself. AFTER you do that you can complain about persecution along with all your fellow drunks, drug addicts, smokers, and other similar persecuted victims.
-
politically it just isn't posssible to advocate letting those who WERE UNQUESTIONABLY involved in the 9-11 attacks
[Read the article: Obama is saying the wrong things about Afghanistan]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]off the hook. For this to be even considered the public would first have to be convinced that "letting the CURRENT incarnation of the Afghan taliban go" would NOT be letting 9-ll perpetrators "get away with it". Even if this is possible Obama is certainly not now in a position to make this case.
-
And no, that doesn't mean she's a sphere that rolls other units over, dumbasses.
[Read the article: "Fat Princess"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Actually this would probably be a more effective way of promoting fat acceptance than shrieking about persecution and fat hatred while being hauled to and through your innumerable medical appointments with the aid of half a million dollars worth of specialized equipment and the services of six EMTs all provided to you by the fat hating pserecuting society that has the nerve to complain about having to provide these things because you didn't want to make the effort of shutting your pie hole and now you can't walk.
-
you inexplicably forgot to feature the NY times article on the new speciality of bariatric obstetrics
[Read the article: "Fat Princess"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]so now we will have a whole generation programmed in the womb to be obese.
-
it's always been pretty clear that both western "liberal" sex police (Sweden) and tradtional conservative sex police(everywhere)
[Read the article: Reader letter of the day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]have a lot in common and could potentially work together very well. The only real disagreement is whether men should have any enforcement power or whether all the decision making power in this role should be the exclusive province of women.
-
the eye only ones are kinda hot, but when they wrap everything but the face, like a nun,
[Read the article: Reader letter of the day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]they succeed in making ANY woman look ugly plus you don't have the identity problem so it's a win for everyone.
-
people should be free to wear white hoods anywhere they want to, and be entitled to defend themselves against anyone who tries to interfere
[Read the article: Reader letter of the day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]the fact is that the use of the veil is inherently coercive. Those who wear it and those who promote it's use intend to coerce compliance with the rules favored by those doing the promoting, if not from the entire society, yet, then from whoever they can reach. The example of the "tolerance" of western values in Islamic socieities is highly releveant: until a non authoritarian, non coerceive form of Islam exists societies have a right to defend themsleves against the coercive kind.
-
if there were a way to allow freedom to veil without also threatening the freedom of others veiling would be ok
[Read the article: Reader letter of the day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]but until something which doesn't currently exist in Islam does develop it isn't possible. Not in Turkey, not in France, not anywhere. I am VERY well aware that many veiled women are not victime of oppression but are attempting to perpetrate it.
-
I'm not sure we CAN stabalize and rebuild Afghanistan at a cost
[Read the article: Obama is saying the wrong things about Afghanistan]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]that Americans are/will be willing to pay in a time frame that our political system and culture will understand and accept.
-
I think it's pretty "normal" from a biology and physiology to be less easily erect as one ages.
[Read the article: O'Really?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It's also "normal" to have increased occurence of senility and incontinence as we age but that doesn't mean that we regard them as physiologically "normal" acceptable states.
-
even alter can't be so clueless as to not understand the difference between being the named author of a blog and being an anonymous commenter on it
[Read the article: Who is doing real journalism?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]so obviously he KNOWS his argument is total crap and can only appear to be something else to those who really are COMPLETELY unaware and the much larger group of partisans who wish to be deceived (at least on this issue when their "side" is being supported).
-
well glad we've cleared that up, women LOVE sex
[Read the article: Many women have a low sex drive. Or not]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]and only incredibly ugly, incredibly stupid, incredibly obnoxious pigs (80% of the male population) have trouble.
-
so if ANY woman YOU are involved with is not interested then you are a horrible person
[Read the article: Quote of the day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]and or wallowing in the coddling of a society that LOVES men while she is crushed under the weight of a society that HATES women; if this were NOT the case her sex drive would be AT LEAST equal to yours.
-

-
of course you can win steve, it's simplicity itself.
[Read the article: Many women have a low sex drive. Or not]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]ALL women are ALWAYS right about ALL things. What could be clearer?
-
This isn't to say that I think male sexuality is bad, only that we need two sets of criteria here, not one.
[Read the article: Many women have a low sex drive. Or not]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]This is exactly what so many ideological feminists fiercely resist, because once you establish that there are 2 widespread and meaningfully DIFFERENT BIOLOGICALLY BASED patterns which vary significantly by gender in their distrubtion you make it much harder to sell the idea that the emotional responses of ONE gender are always or nearly always the total or nearly total truth.
-
and feminists have been trying to sell for 40 years the idea that anytime men see "things" such as, to pick a example at random, sex, differently than women
[Read the article: Many women have a low sex drive. Or not]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]that men are either stupid, emotionally stunted or trying to oppress, abuse, etc etc, women.
-
Civility, on the other hand, might
[Read the article: Many women have a low sex drive. Or not]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]or maybe not.
