For the curious: RCTV is again broadcasting in Venezuela

The fierce indomitable Stalinist overlord Hugo Chavez who has silenced all dissenting media and whose people regularly vote him into office based on mind-control drugs, has apparently somehow accidentally let the pro-coup d'etat, all-elite all-the-time RCTV network back on via cable and satellite.

The only thing RCTV lost was their over-the-air license, and somehow I think that a TV network which broadcast programs on September 11th, 2001 advocating that citizens join in and support Al Qa'ida overthrow of the US government might suffer worse than that even here in this bastion of free speech.

No Contradiction: It Was The Wrong Plan But It Was Successful and It Was Working

You see, the earlier plan was the wrong plan even though it was successful and working, just not successfully and workingly enough.

The new plan, which just seems like the old plan with some more people, is the right plan and is working and is successful, but we don't yet know if it will be sucessful and working enough.

So the new plan which is the right plan and which is successful and working may soon itself too become the wrong plan, which although correct and successful and working needs to be replaced by the right plan, which will be successful and working even more.

In re "No Contradiction"

Glad I could make a few people laugh today. That certainly was my task, and I was heading toward success, though on occasion that desired result does not occur, and I am able to see a different degree of success as well. That of course is the right approach. Until it isn't, but it still is.

Ha Pooter Showed Us!

Hey! Pooter found an article about which we've been speaking for like 4 years now, how the new 'Al Qa'ida' groups are hated in Iraq!

But now our leftist dream of surrendering to Al Qa'ida is threatened by the Iraqis who are doing exactly what we said for the last 4 years.

Thankfully Al Qa'ida still has a good friend in George Bush Jr., the guy who let them have their first spectacular attacks in 9/11/2001 by doing absolutely not one thing in response to tons of flaming haired security warnings.

Oh, and the guy who gave up trying to capture bin Laden.

Oh, and the guy who still lets the Saudis finance much of the Iraq insurgency.

Pooter must be mad that our secret ally Bush Jr. is still in charge and able to help bin Laden and Al Qa'ida like Bush Jr. always has!

Baby Boomers Also Cowardly Missed Neo-Jupiterian Invasion Dimension War

Although it's not well known because of its secret and entirely fictional nature, all right wingers enlisted and fought in the Neo-Jupiterian Invasion from the Dimension Troops. Their bravery in the face of giant claw-bearing and lightning throwing enemies will neither be publicly remembered nor, of course, documented, being fictional and all.

So, once again, the right wing bravely signs up and fights in a deadly, yet entirely unreal scenario, when a mere several million Americans served in the pathetic yet entirely real US wars against Indo-China, and some 58,000 of those lazy cowards dying as opposed to hanging around and making up new wars to fight.

Once again the right wing heroically sacrifices itself in its own imagination while the left contents itself with reality-based struggles. Typical.

Sometimes I Don't Know Why I Laugh

I don't blame the Michael Ledeens; they're defective in some way that, even after all the psychologizing, I really don't understand.

All of a sudden I pictured some sort of ghoulish child's vision of a mannequin factory where a wrongly set machine has created several dozen mannequins with legs attached directly to heads, and eyes inside mouths, and other horrific little maladaptations.

And then I thought, yes, that's pretty much how we might think of Ledeen types. Except for the part about them advising several of our governments and being touted as serious intellectuals instead of shunned to live in scary alleys, emerging only to occasionally kidnap winos as is done in horror movies.

You Must Remember: Bush Jr's Partisan Manipulation of Military Officers Is Actually Respect for Their Professionalism

Remember, the way to show respect for the officer corps of our military is to manipulate them so that only those who agree with the political goals of a partisan administration are placed in or maintained in prominent positions.

In Bush Jr. world, partisan manipulation of professionals IS respect. Neutrality is when you fire everyone who disagrees with your crazy opinions and you promote everyone who agrees with you, qualified or not.

That said, it doesn't matter if Petraeus or his spokespersons deny anything Glenn suggests. What matters is that well-read writers are paying close, close attention to these military officers' activities in the political arena.
