Actually those people were my friends and family. But thanks for cheering on the peaceful peaceloving people of peace who engineered their deaths. After all, if the Iranian government is saying it it must be AOK in Salon-land. I mean what good is the needless deaths of innocent people you don't like anyway if it can't be used somehow to obliquely smear the White House? Or were you making some other point?

You know, other people were also killed in Latin America by terrorist acts. In fact, there was an entire genocide -- not a bombing of one location -- but an entire real genocide in Guatemala, one that was carried out by Guatemala's dictator and army, and materially aided by Reagan and his cabinet.

Yet no one has been punished for this genocide, and neither Reagan nor his cabinet were brought to trial.

It's funny. No, it's more than funny, it's amazing how the right wingers whose misrule (a) allowed the biggest, deadliest terror attack ever to take place on U.S. soil, and (b) launched on fraudulent justifications and with utterly disastrous consequences one of the stupidest, most psychotic invasions and occupations in all of history, still manage to believe in their dwindling, 26% numbers that They, and Only They, are America.

Thankfully, what Americans have truly seen right through is the previously proclaimed security-minded, militarily strong "conservatives."

Thanks to their utterly incompetent and fraudulent mis-handling of the Iraq war, Americans in huuuuuuge majorities have rejected the Republican dogma of the past 30 years, the one that claimed that brainless, cowardly machismo would Keep Us Safe.
