The rare cases of people like this woman,

or

a large percentage of Americans thinking that they can, with a little information, a few pictures, and no training, decide:

why this woman did what she has, how it should be resolved, including her punishment, the raising of her children, and how to prevent it from happening again?

This is the type of problem that professionals in mental health and the judicial system have a hard time dealing with.

Things are complicated. The human mind. The financial system. Fixing the health care system. Simple answers aren't really answers, just lack of understanding.

Stop:

- driving on our roads

- relying on our police and fire protection

- welcome all into our country, unchecked and uninspected

- stop fighting wars, unless it is fought by you, with your gun , ammo, and risk

- stop breathing our cleaner air

- stop drinking our cleaner water

- stop using our courts, banking system, and business system

Buy yourself a few hundred empty acres somewhere, strip naked, and rely on yourself alone already.

If he got on the plane AFTER it hit the birds, he'd be a hero.

The reason experience is valuable in a pilot isn't because the've done the same LA to NY run a thousand times without a hitch. It's that he's had engine trouble a few of those times. Been diverted to other airports a few times. Dealt with mechanical problems. Hazardous passengers. Trained thousands of disasters in simulators.

He now has the temperment for emergency.

This is the value in time in the seat. Anyone with a couple hundred hours could get you 99% of the time.

But when a bird hits the turbofan, you need someone to do his job. The job he has the skills for, not some above average character for, but experience and training for.

There are heroes, but you can't make them. We need good pilots. We can make them.

efficient

Helping people:

wrong

wasteful

We want to know the secrets. But if this is the best you can do, then conservatives must really be as obvious and obtuse as we thought.

God created a whole opposite being to take the heat for the evil in the world, but meanwhile his crimes are more than evil alone.

When we Stalin-based programs and taxed exempt status for Hitler worshiping centers, get back to us. Your hyperbole might approach a valid comparison then.
