A "little"????????????????

This man is certifiable.

Instead of targeting the opposition and debunking their lies, Obama's administration and Progressive Democrats need to start stating, succinctly and clearly, what IS in their Health Care Reform Bill, NOT what ISN'T.

Like George Lakoff says, call the Public Option the "American Plan" which is patriotic because it will gaurantee health care access to all Americans! It is patriotic because Americans care about each other. Call the "Single Payer Plan" the "Doctor-Patient Care Plan". Insurance company plans have FAILED to care for our people! Stress the morality of this issue in no uncertain terms.

Appeal to the American people who must stand up and be heroes for the sake of their country and its people. "An 'American Plan' is both the moral AND practical alternative to provide care for our people." (George Lakoff in truthout.org; The Policy Speak Disaster for Health Care) Stop mentioning the ridiculous sound bites that the Right-Wing throws at us and start telling the American people what the "American Plan" is going to do for them.

When 20-30% of peoples' health care insurance premiums do NOT go to health care, but to denying care and profiting from it, that constitutes a tax on the 96% of voters that do have health insurance. Insurance companies are taxing American people without representation. Is that Democracy? NO.

Americans need to get up, stand up, stand for their rights, before it is too late!

Many people do not know that physicians do not get paid, in most cases, for the time they spend with a patient to talk about preventative medicine and counsel them on lifestyle choices that can contribute to a healthier life (and less expenditure on health care treatment). This includes time taken with elderly patients who have serious questions about their late in life medical treatment. Obama's Health Plan wants to change this, not end elderly peoples' lives. This will be between a doctor and his patient and PAID FOR by the government in a Public Option Plan!

My close friend's mother is 86, and she just had a heart attack. Her wonderful and caring cardiologist talked with her at length about the risk to a woman her age of having open heart surgery and advised her that this surgery could result in severe incapacity or even death. He told her if she improved her eating habits a bit and perhaps went on some heart medication she could have several more good, quality years ahead of her! He advised her against surgery, which, of course, would be extremely expensive. This dear woman trusts this dedicated doctor and followed his advice. My friend is glad that she did! THIS IS THE KIND OF "END OF LIFE" COUNSELING OBAMA IS TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is time for Republicans to get over it! They lost this election because of their archaic ideas and "privileged class" economics. Obama is doing exactly what he needs to do for America! It is time for working class people to get assistance from their government FOR A CHANGE. The voters kicked the Repugs out of power due to their disastrous "trickle-down" B.S. economic policies. It is time for them to "play nice" or shut up. President Obama has given them every chance to join the majority of the American voters and to compromise. Talk about "whiners"!

Seeing the writing on the wall, Republicans are crying "Voter fraud" as a way to distract the American people from the real issues that are currently sinking our economy and losing more and more jobs. The truth is that the GOP operatives have been out in force in the last several national elections trying to supress the minority(and now new registrant) vote in all the key,swing states. Again, they think that MAYBE they can steal another election, because they know they can't win fair and square! Democrats must be diligent and man the polls to make sure people are not disinfranchised AGAIN, like they were in 2000 and 2004. Just imagine what our country would be like now if Gore had become our president. There would be so many green jobs that America might have avoided this economic meltdown. WHATEVER ELSE YOU DO, VOTERS OF AMERICA, DO NOT GIVE UP OR GIVE IN TO THE GOP TACTICS. VOTE EARLY! VOTE ABSENTEE! STAND IN LINE AS LONG AS YOU NEED TO TO CAST YOUR VOTE! THIS ELECTION IS TOO IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO LET THEM STEAL YOUR VOTES AGAIN! OH, AND ONE MORE THING, VOTE FOR OBAMA1

The McNasty Campaign has reached all time lows like I have never seen before in a presidential election, except maybe in 2000 when Rove cast such hateful lies at John and Cindy McCain. I never believed that Senator McCain would degrade himself so utterly. As I work on Barack Obama's Campaign, making calls into Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Ohio, I am encouraged to talk to so many Americans who are sick of the mean spirited hatefulness of the MCain/Palin Campaign, but I also hear things like "I would never vote for Obama. He is a Terrorist and a Muslim." (said by a woman in PA) How tragic that some people swallow these bald faced lies about a wonderful, accomplished man who has achieved the American dream. Shame on Governor Palin and John McCain! There seems to be no limit to their ambition and hatefulness. They are examples of the worst America has to offer. I hope that the American people wake up and show their compassionate and courageous spirits and vote for Barack Obama, who I know will do everything he can as President to uplift the lives of the working class people and restore the respect our great nation once rightfully owned in the world.
