I am sure you have the best interest of poor black people at heart. If you look at most black families that are involved with their church they help more people then you could imagine. The black middle and upper class have always shared and carried a burden of having to reach back and help their community. I bet they give large amounts of money to church functions. Scholorship funds, day cares, building homes are a few of the things I belive Trinty is involved. His church believe in helping in the community and I am sure the Obamas have helped the church by giving and find funs to aid in those endevors.

It was not Sen. Obama who started the conversation about race. Iwas not blacks who started airing their grips. Blacks did not want this to be about race and nor did Obamas white supporters. They were glad Obama did not run on "vote for me to get rid of your guilt." He was running on "HOPE" the same thing Bill Clinton ran on. Remember "The Man From HOPE." Sen. Obama was running on his belief that he could get us past the old politics and build a coalition of people to pass legislation that will better America.

But another segment of our society made it about race to divide the democrats. Many blacks loved Clinton and even though they are mad at her most will still vote for her over McCain. But guess what AKA a whole lot of black, white,Hispanic and Asians have just as hard time voting for a woman. The reason Hillary says this is an historic election is because one way or another race and gender are going to be talked about.

To try to make David Dukes group the moral equivalent to Trinty church is either intellectual dishonest or you are a fool. Tell me where has any member of Trinty bombed a church, killed children, advocated overthrowing the government, lynched white people, said white people were inferior because of their color, voted for white people based on color. Odog you would be a great comedian for the KKK.

  • AKA you make Obama's point

When I heard Pastor Wrights comments I and many black folks said Oh NO here it comes. We knew that all many people would hear and believe was that one sound bite. When Clinton needed help in the black community you best believe one of the pastors he called on was Rev. Wright.

When Clintons needed to talk to black folks around the country there are a few black pastors he called on T.D.Jakes,Floyd Flake,Bishops Paul Morton, and Pastor Wright.

His comments do not give you a full view of who he is. As I stated befor if his goal by his preaching was to foster anti-american sentiments, hate whites, and to blow up America, Pastor Wright has to be the worse preacher in the world. His so called hate sermons produces young people that enlist in the army, grow their own businesses, get their education and yes run for the Presidency who believe in the goodness of most Americans.

Obama believed that people like you who may not agree with him will look past race and even stupid angry words by one of his pastor to vote in your best interest. His hope is paying off.

Thanks for running away from trying to tie the church with the KKK. Secondly, when Georger Wallace apologized to blacks for his racist ways blacks forgave and some voted for him. The man you are talking about is now helping in impoverish neighborhoods. That is where Obama met him, helping the very people you accused obama and his wife of neglecting. Finally, if we are going to judge everyone on missteps in interviews we should have impeached Bush,Cheney and Condi years ago. McCain would not even be in the race. Get a grip

Come on and be real AKA. Hillary has said the boys are beating up on me but she as a graduate from the women's college she could take it. She has made many statements about her gender. If Sen. Obama (not his surrogates) had said they are beating up on my because I am black after a debate he would not even be a candidate anymore.

Again, it was not black people that brought up race. Why is it that when anyone talks about race in any coversation they try to bring up names whites love to hate? What does Jessie Jackson has to do with Obama?

Could it be you want to push buttons that scare other people? Sen. Obama has not once drew on Jessie or Al Sharpton. He has stayed away from them as far as we know. But I a sure someone is going to find a picture of them together.

AKA you say you don't want to not talk about race but it sounds like you know all the rights talking points.
