[Read more letters about this article: Here]Where do you get this notion that most blacks are racist? Most blacks vote for white people. More blacks attend white churches then whites attend black churches. Given an option more blacks will attend predominantly white schools.
Just think what would happen to college sports if the top high school athletes were as racist as you suggest? They would be attending all black colleges. But most of the top black athletes attend predominantly white colleges because they know they have a better chance of being seen and going to the professional level. That proves they are not racist. Why? Because racism is ignorance. If they were racist they would do like many Clinton supporters say they are going to do. They would go against their best interest.
Racism as i said is ignorance. It makes smart business person lose money because they don't want to sell their product or hire people of color. It makes smart people believe that certain groups of people don't have souls as one Bishop of the catholic church said about Indians and blacks. And come November it is going to makes smart people vote for a man that will continue the policies of torture,right wing judges,war, curtailing civil liberties and taxing the middle class.
I am sorry but please point out examples of black racism.
Black people in America even though many think like Jessie Jackson and Rev. Wright have never did what mamy Muslims are doing in Iraq. They have not picked up guns and bombs to kill whites.
The Black Panthers were a self defence group. They also if you read their books were defenders of the Constitution. Their members know the Constitution front to back.
Yes blacks have fought racism with civil disobedience. Blacks have fought bravely for this country in every war even when whites lynched blacks daily. Black Americans have help this country in every manner. Some of the greatest inventions were by black men and women. All you have to do is google black inventions and you will be amazed. From the golf tee to the traffic light blacks have have help make this country in the face of real racism.
Racism for me is not the same as prejudice. Racism for me is having the power to block entrance to schools. The power to keep a whole group of people from getting loans. It is having the power to establish rules and laws that only apply to one people (Jim Crow and Plessy vs. Ferguson).
We know blacks commit crimes against whites but most of those acts driven by poverty and not race. Most of those acts are connected with robbery and most crimes by blacks are against blacks not whites.
When was the last time you heard a black person blowing up a building because they did not like goverment policies like affirmative-action. Tim McViegh hated the government and one of the reasons he gave was because he did not like government helping blacks. Now that is racism. He murdered 168 people and damaged billions of dollars worth of property. But by white American standards the worst villian is O.J Simpson.
I laugh when I hear whites talk about reverse racism. When did the clock start running in reverse. When did white racism start and black priviledge start. One has to go to extreme lenghts to believe that a black man named Barack Hussein Obama and is more appreciated by the press over a white women name Clinton.
Ten blacks getting into a school is calle reverse racism. Blacks could not get into any school, whites cry because they cannot get into one school even though they still have a chance to go. Isn't it funny that not once have we ever seen a group of black police officers beating white criminals? How is that we time after time white officers are caught beating blacks on video?
What black owned corporation has not hired whites? Most black owned companies gladly hire the best qualified persons. Racism is the use of power to support ones preudicial views. I just have not seen blacks doing that in America.
That may be the reason many whites are afraid to vote for Obama. They believe he will do to them what whites have done to blacks for so many years. Could it be transference in effect?

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Obama leaving the church would have been seen as him trying to politically save his neck and you know it. Even after he denounce Wright people said he did not do it soon enough. If he left the church earlier people like you would have come up with something else. To ask Obama to give up on his church is to not undertand his religios or political beliefs. His religious beliefs come from a stand point of speaking truth to power and standing up for the small person. It is a prophetic ministry which I guess you know nothing about. If you read more of Dr. King,Richard Allen,Demark Vezey,and other black prearchers who stood up to racist you will get a sense of where he comes from.
You say you have been in many churches,I suspect not may black ones. Church Hoppers are usally people who when they don't get their way take their ball and go home. Sounds like what many Clinton Supporters will do this NOvember.
