Is Jeremiah Wright Right?
[Read the article: "Richardson has never questioned Senator Obama's electability"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If Obama is too black for America in the year 2008 then Jeremiah Wright really is a prophet. If the only reason that many whites will not vote for Obama is because he is black then racism as he said is still very much alive.
But from what I have seen I think there are more people of all backgrounds with Obama then are against him. The polls in Penn are closing because after people get to hear and see him in person they like what he stands for.
His policies are not that far off from Hillary's the issues comes down to trust, integrity and charecter. As a politician we all know that he is going to say somethings thatmay not always add up but over all he has shown himself to be a person who stands on values.
For those that continue to harp on the Wright issue I would suggest you look at the "fruit" that Rev. Wright has beared. If he was really preaching hate why have we not had black suicide bombers. Why havn't heard of any black Timothy McVighs coming out of his church. He has not produce any abortion clinic bombers or people that vote for only black candidates.
No he has produce a man that is running for the President on a hope and unity campaign. He has produce young men and women that go to school take care of family, clean up their community, pay taxes and beleive in Jesus Christ.
Further, it is funny that the person that went to fight for this country (Rev. Wright) is seen as unpatriotic. While Bush,Cheney, Rush, and others ran from their opportunity to lay down their lives. The bible says no greater love then a man who lay down his life for a friend.
Rev. Wright went to Vietnam when this country was not friendly toward blacks. But some how he is unpatriotic!

With friends like Jebldmm
[Read the article: Americans more ready for a black president than a woman?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"Actually, I've heard a lot of glowing things about Obama. He seems to be the media's golden child at the moment. But it isn't enough to simply report the positives - every candidate has to be vetted. Nobody was reluctant when it came to discussing if Hilary's "tears" were going to hurt her campaign. Nobody hesitated to debate if Edward's wife's cancer would hurt his chance of becoming president. For some reason, however, the media are reluctant to debate anything negative about Obama. I know a lot more about the negatives of Clinton and Edwards than I do about those of Obama. Why?"
These are the words of the so called supporter of Obama. Jebldmm. Jebldmm never supported Obama. It sounds like she lives in the make beleive world of Hillary. Like Hillary who thought no one would look at the tape. Jebledmm I guess never thought anyone was smart enough to look at her earlier post. She lied and said she was a supporter of Obama with friends like Je who needs enemies.
Barack has never used race. In a vaccum one would never say the Clintons were racist but after S.C. when Clinton tried to tie Jessie Jackson and Obama it was clear. Clinton won S.C. was it just because he was the first black president?

The first black elected to the senate since reconstruction
[Read the article: Americans more ready for a black president than a woman?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Proves that black men are more electable then women. LOL! Surely Joan is just trying to yank or string. At least three Hillary supporters brought up Obama only being where he is because he is black. One said whites will not vote for him because he his black. Another said Obama was not black enough and that Bill Clinton was blacker then Obama because he dated more black women then Obama. But it is somehow Obama using the race card when he responds to these attacks. What a joke.

Secret Service
[Read the article: Americans more ready for a black president than a woman?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Obama had to get secret service after death threats. What did he do to deserve death threats? The right answer is just being black. Hillary I suspect also may have had death threats but it was not for just being a woman but all those on the right felt she and Bill represented evil.
I have a daughter and hope someday sexism like racism is eradicated but I know that if many black people in America were able to choose gender or race they would choose being the white woman.
In fact there was a study done with dolls on race. Black girls were told to choose between white dolls and black dolls and more black girls wanted the white dolls. Why? Because even at a young age they knew being black in America is no joke.
To Won'tbefooledagain I wonder what your choice would be?
