What you say doesn't ring true. You generalization of "black people" gives you away. Of course there are black jerks like their are white jerks. But I am sure that all black people don't treat you the same. Therefore you nor I should judge all people based on a few jerks comments.

I have had the police after following me for miles finally stop me and ask me why I was driving through a certain neighborhood. I have had cashiers write on the back of my checks my race. I have had servers at resturants not want to serve me because of my color. I have had whites surround me after a football game and try to beat me up. But I have not judged all white people for what some have did. Because racism for me as a black person is something different then individual prejudices. All of of us have our prejudices which sometimes come out in mean and ignorant ways. Racism on the other hand is a political and power issue.

Racism is slavery,Jim Crow laws, state sponsored segregation, militias whose purpose is to destroy a race aka KKK,whole banking institutions which don't give loans to blacks, systems design to keep blocs of people from voting, eugenic practices by people to eliminate a race, media institutions which come out with a slew of books, movies and news articles which denigrate the intellegence of a group of people.

When some whites try to say that Rev. Wright is a racist many blacks shake their heads because they say if he is preaching racism he has to be the worst preacher they ever heard. The bible says "they shall know you by the fruit that you bear." Lets look at the fruit of Rev. Wright's racist preaching. Rev. Wright's church has fed thousands, sent many poor young men and women to college, produced lawyers, doctors, men and women that serve in community and in the arm forces. Lets see what he has not produced. Rev. Wrights so-called hate speech has not produce armed black militants, suicide bombers, are a group of people that will not vote for a candidate base on race. As a matter of fact his congregation like many blacks churches voted for Bill Clinton,Al Gore and John Kerry in recent years.

What many folks need to understand is blacks have some serious issue with racism in this country. We also feel we have the right to express our concerns with the way this country has addressed that issue because blacks although upset still go to war and fight for this country and that right to dissent. Rev. Wright was one of those that laid his life on the line so chicken hawks like Bush, Cheney,Rush, and others could call him a racist.

  • Hillary's former pastor

Oh, did anyone hear Hillary's former pastor say that America was "complict" in the violence against us. The United Methodist Church is one of the leading anti-war voices in America. They also have expressed the concerns with what they call uneven treatment by the U.S in the Israel-Palestinian conflict The Luthran church has been very outspoken against Israels treatment of Palestinians. They even threatened to withdraw all investments in Israel.

Jimmy Carter was called all type of names because he called what Israel was doing aparthied.

So while Rev. Wright talked the Luthran church was getting ready to walk. Many of the comments that Rev. Wright made were not out of the mainstream of some of other mainline denominations.

I don't know about the Italian comment I will have to hear and read what he said. But I am looking forward to the discussion on race and religion in America. Because it was the church that not only sanction slavery in America but perpetrated the curse of the black man. It also fostered the ideal that somehow Jesus a Palestinian jew was blonde hair with blue eyes.

  • Hill yah supporters

Why do the Hillary' supporters keep saying if Obama can't stand the heat he needs to get out of the kitchen. Evidently he is handling the heat pretty good because he is winning.

Which makes Bill Clintons comments about how politics should be rough so 90's ish. Obama has run winning campaign which has shown you don't have to be dirty to win.

Remember a couple of months ago the media pundits saying how if Obama were to win he had to show he could hit back. Obama hinted he was going to hit back but in the following debate he still was the same issue oriented Obama many have come to vote for. After that debate he went on to get a commading lead.

The Clinton Rules do not have to apply. Throwing the "kitchen sink" at Obama is not working. They have accused him of plagerism, being too black, not black enough(Andrew Young),dealing drugs (Bob Johhson, being Muslim (picture dressed in Arab garb), not being patriotic and on and on.

Now Hillary tries to denigrate him because of his pastor's words but does not want to be judge on her on lies about her trip. How do you mispeak the same lie over and over about snipers firing over your head and running to a car to get out of danger. Clinton Rules are over. It's a new day and new rules apply.

  • KStone get real.

Kstone if Hillary's comments were made in a vaccum we could give her the benefit of the doubt but when a photo comes out questioning his religion and committment to America plus her husband saying there are "two" candidates who love this country there could be a assumption that they were trying to be as vague in their answers and words as possible. They wanted to leave doubts about Obama.

They already knew the right wingers were raising these issues so while they did not want to be seen as pushing these issues they did not want to stop them either.
