What straight talk.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]McCain and Bush are such liars that they will tell the country a lie even when we know it is a lie. For instance, McCain told the American public that Iraq was so safe that you could go shopping outside the green zone. He made this comment even when the cameras were showing the world that he was surrounded by U.S. troops.
Bush blatantly told the world that he did not even know Ken Lay. These people don't shoot straight because they know you in the media are reluctant to call them what they are, bold face liars.
The world knows we are not fighting Islamic fanatics. They are the pawns. Russia and China are the chess players. They are the biggest suppliers of weapons and nuclear material to Iran and Iraq. Bush said he looked into Putin's eyes and saw his soul. McCain did rightfully said he looked at Putin and saw the KGB. Russia and China have taken a page out our play book and now are trying to destroy our economy by using Iran and Iraq.
Bush thought by going into Iraq he could counter their move and control future oil revenues. That move fueled Al Queda and Muslim's hatred because we have killed so many friends and family of Iraqi people. Thus, we like Russia in the 80's are in a quagmire in Iraq which is costing us in lives and money.
Obama is the only "straight talker" when he says we need to get out of there.
We are only holding off the inevitable. Iraqis either controled by the Saudis or Iran are going to take over that government and whoever takes over there will be more bloodshed. It is time for us to leave.

Krugaman's Broken Record

[Read more letters about this article: Here]It is amazing to me how people like Krugman are trying to project their own motives and attitudes onto Obama and his supporters.
Year after year white people like Krugman have elected people that they felt they could have "a beer with." The job interview for President was never based on who was best qualified but who has the most money, political power,pedigree and color. Black folks and many whites were always left to picking the "best of two evils."
Like Babe Ruth not playing against the best players of his day but being crowned the best, white people just can't believe that a black man can play on their level. Krugman and his elite media friends sound like broken records when it comes to black folk. The first thing they do is question the competence of black people even in the face of overwhelming evidence of the sheer brilliance of the person (Obama).
Billy Packard a sports announcer would always say how bright white players were but said that blacks played on talent and instinct. The black athlete does not think he/she is just a naturally athletic. Krugman the play-by-play announcer of politics is just saying the same thing. Sen. Obama is not thinking, and his supporters are not thinking. They are just impressed with his rethoric and color.
Black people don't vote their interest. Blacks are not thinking pragmatically we are voting personality. Voting pragmatically got us Clinton and his disasterous crime bill that put thousands of young black boys in jail for years. Voting pragmatically got us Clinton and NAFTA that gave us low paying entry level jobs. Those entry level jobs were the first ones to go over seas and elimanated when a reccession hits.
Black folks have always used their best judgement and tried to vote in our best interest for years and look where it got us. All of a sudden when Barack's followers don't vote for the white person we are not thinking we are voting for the personality.
It was black folks thinking that forced this country to open access to everyone. Thurgood Marshall went into the courtroom and beat the white lawyers at their own game. Black folks thinking showed the world what it truly meant to be Christian. Our non-violent civil disobeidence showed the world how to turn the other cheek and love the hell out of enemy. Black folks are thinking people and our thinking and intellect has enable us to over come all the lies,abuse and Krugman's of this world.
Now we see black man bringing those same principles, charecter and integrity that transformed this nation to the most powerful position in the world and we are voting for it.
Obama's foundation of integrity and principl are the bases for good sound policies.
Krugman and others like him fell for the lies of Bush and the war on terror. A young black man name Obama did not. That was sound judgement. Obama knows that giving away health care is not good exchange for the moral and esteem of people. The work ethic gives people purpose. He believes we must make it affordable. Give people the tools for making a good living and they will choose good options. His plan of bring troops home and using money we are spending in Iraq on building our infrastructure is sound economics. He has placed good policy makers around. I don't think people like Warren Buffet would endorse and fool.
I remember when blacks first really started to take over the NBA and ABA. White referees could not beleive the things those athletes were doing. They would call fouls because they could not beleive that black men could jump so high,manuver their bodies and get a rebound without touching someone. Their experience/world view distorted and blinded them to the greatness they were actually seeing. The political refs like Krugman just can't believe a black man can do what he is doing. So they have to cry foul. It is not the Obama campaign that vergers on a cult of personality it is the status quo who can't get past their "experience" to see greatness.
