You were right. I can’t say we because I was serving my country so that you and those valiant others could better serve our country than us “defending” it. I soured on the war and watched it from the safety of a headquarters in Hawaii and cheered its end in Japan. Then I watched with the media for 60 days in the Philippines while John McCain and my college buddy returned from North Vietnam and helped Jim Morrison’s father shelter and process 50,000 refugees in Guam find a new life. While I didn’t risk my life or career like you did, I was cheering and vocally supporting you and very grateful when you won.

Those who saw Vietnam first hand like Bebop-o must despair to the extent I can’t imagine when our sick leaders who never served decided to repeat the horrors and send so many more minds into despair. And when they know they are dead wrong, they keep sending them because they can’t understand what war does and only worry about their egos and why GWB’s daddy wouldn’t crush Saddam. They keep their twisted mindset flowing by thinking, those fuckin Hippies want us to go home again when we are winning; we’ll show them who has the balls.

They will never understand what real men (and women) do or the courage it takes to admit you are wrong and accept the full consequences. You and we are right again and have to find a way to send these guys out to floating ice flows north of N.S. to watch that non-existent global warming send them to the bottom where they will never rise again. Well, I can dream can’t I?

We will never get rid of all of them or weak so called opponents. We can keep making them easier to spot and shoot down by removing their camouflage and gumming their mouths. Then we have to create a system that reduces them to a fair voice and power equal to the rest of us.

    WE WILL WIN AGAIN!

Glenn has another central point. While I agree about the horse race, Glenn is also telling us to look at the team of a candidate to gain an insight into who the candidate really is and what the true character of that candidate will mean when they obtain too much power. He also wants us to assess the tactics he or she uses to get elected.

The dilemma is that when your team and tactics are weak, ala Gore-Kerry, your arsenal is too weak to overcome ends justify the means opponents. Hillary certainly will be effective at firing back accurately and effectively. As so many have noted, when she is elected, how much will things really change? They certainly would be better than the Bushdipoligarchy. Then again, anything would.

“These are the real questions in this race, and I fall decidedly on the side of turning away from Establishment Politics and Policies. America needs change, as the cliche goes- so will America actually vote for change? God I hope so.”

I hoped that Obama was the turn away and represented real change. All he seems to do is talk about change not represent it. I want a leader not a hoper. If he wants the nomination, there is not much time left to prove he is a leader. Tell us that our founders’ dreams are in danger and Lead!

A boycott is very good for us retired folks. The product is obvious. Oil.
