"Not just those (eeeyewww fill-in-the-blank) on the left " and

the "left wing" of the party...Here's a chance for the Obama team to re-frame liberal ideas and concerns away from the Cootie Ward or Psycho Commie "Wing" nut tags lefties have been labeled as by everyone in the White House, the Red States and the news corporations. We are shamed for opposing death and destruction and warfare. Aren't those, by degrees, core planks in the Democratic Party Platform?

If memory serves, Obama got initial kudos for being opposed to the Iraq war. A majority of Americans are now opposed to the Iraq war, left, right and center.

Is Hildebrand forgetting that the spectrum of leftism is still left opposite right and therefore encompasses many of the "base" that helped elect Obama?

Dennis Kucinich really has more cajones than the PE because: he brought impeachment charges to the House floor despite the sneering by his own party members who refused to listen to their constituents for the last 6 years, that American majority thing: call, write, email, petition your representative!...Have you noticed? In the House and Senate, constituents are irrelevant.

Whatever Obama's agenda morphs into, Hildebrand needs to stop insulting voters like me.

When I saw Thomas Tamm interviewed on Rachel Maddow's show, I saw what America used to be...

He is the DOJ whistleblower who called the NYT about the illegal wiretapping.

He was so passionate about how wrong the Bush admin. was about this, and so appalled at the silent complicity of his colleagues at DOJ, that my heart sparked with warm recognition...of someone who thinks and acts like me and many of the now weary Americans who have watched the last 8 years in disbelief.

I was impressed by this man for his guts and for his willingness to stand up, while losing the rest of his life. Where are all the other employees who have watched? Why don't they stand with Tamm? Why is telling the truth equated with being a traitor?

Dennis Kucinich, Russ Feingold, Robert Wexler, Maxine Waters are a few of we the people's only consistent voice re: Bush/Cheney law-breaking. And Glenn Greenwald and Amy Goodman...

So what can WE do about this? This information is drowning us! And the uncertainty that criminal charges for these players will happen is the cement block tied to our bound feet.

F Cheney and the enabling MSM...should NOT

give this creepy criminal any time or column inches or face views.

Let's leave Gitmo open for the Dickster and show him how clean it really is.

Obama? There's gonna be real drama if you go "forward" without facilitating a prosecution of the "past" criminal activity by the Bush torture-pervs and for the thousand other illegal things they did while Nancy and Harry caved.

The Treasury grab was the biggest, boldest steal yet.

Hey, let's everyone claim the maximum withholding allowances (13 for NY) so these folks that represent us (not) don't get our money to suck up into their partisan pork pieholes! We can do it in a wave across the country. The IRS won't be able to handle it!

Boston Tea Party goes sha-sizzle!

And these "representatives" of "the people" better not even THINK we believe them: "there is no money for___(universal health care)_______, boo freakin' hoo...".

And P.S. Prez-elect Obama

I do not want troops in Afghanistan. If the Russians can't beat them, neither can we.

I resent the fact that our gov't. is handing out money and Viagra to the Taliban to persuade them to come over to our side.

Why are we investing so many lives and dollars into the Middle East where women are treated sub-humanly and our military enables these toothless Taliban with 4 wives, all starting out as 13-year-old virgin girls, by giving them Viagra!

This war and all wars perpetuate the worst in human beings: lying, cheating, maiming, killing, raping, destroying.

And then these warriors come home. With injuries visible and not. To families and children. Who lose again. When the VA and our society won't pay for the incredible damages. Why were you against THAT Dick? And why do some military families still believe your BS?

God damn you to hell.

I agree with your perceptions Mr. Sirota, now what do we do about it?

Congress hasn't responded to or listened to or even acknowledged all the letters/emails/petitions/marches from us since November 2000!

If the President-elect got so many to believe he was listening and would respond to our concerns that they sent him money via the internet (which was invented by Howard Dean (who hasn't been appointed to anything by BO even though his 50-state strategy certainly enabled BO's team to piggy-back their efforts...))then surely these donors and other voters or hopeful skeptics are feeling a bit gas-lighted by the daily news of Obama's activities.

But that's the thing about gas-lighting: the gas lamps ARE flickering, but we are being told they are not. This makes us question our perceptions and wonder what the hell would get the Chosen One's attention, because, most of us:

Don't want troops and contractors, on our dime, involved in Afghanistan;

Don't want the banks to get another nickel until they verify they have helped out the people who are in or about to be in foreclosure AND made credit available to businesses and individuals;

Do want Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld/Rice/Gonzalez/Rove/Addington to be prosecuted for war crimes and all the others, too.

I plan to party on Tuesday and watch all of us get together for the first day of the next 4 years. Then, when I wake up on Wednesday, I need a plan. Got ideas?
