Do you really still buy the 4 really-bad-flight-students with box-cutters (1-2 inch blade)on 4 different planes on the same day avoiding normal detection checks @ 4 different airports and also dis-arming or confusing or stupefying 4 cities' air-traffic-control towers and NORAD and F-15s and ....Never done before, then or now, or ever. Not without help and fear and lotsa editing of what we saw.
Does Dick Cheney still fly? Now, if his plane was....
want! We have email and phones and we have been telling them!
Marches are wonderful ways to express our passion. My first was the Reagan/PATCO one in 1981. I have been to DC 5 more times for marches.
It's also expensive, time-consuming, hard on the body re:weather/sleep/restrooms...and the Main Stream Press still calls us "...a rag-tag group of aging 60's protesters..." and minimize our numbers and downplay our passion all-around!
Millions marched in NYC and all over the world against the Iraq War! Bush was at the ranch. No effect.
My point is, our government knows very well what we want, because of November's vote.
Many of us are struggling with more than just healthcare issues.I do not have, what seems like a redundant luxury, the time or money to travel 8 hours to let Obama know what's up!
I also do not have the naive idea (anymore) that protesting TO our democracy will effect any change.
After the WallStreet bailout, I will never again believe that our government "can't pay for" healthcare for all Americans. This, on top of the still unknowable costs of the Iraq War. Where were the tea-baggers then re: the deficit?
Oh right, they were reaping profits from the war machine. Which apparently is still required for maintaining the US economy since Obama seems to have upped the ante in Afghanistan...even though he KNOWS his base is against this! Where was the discussion/townhall about this?
are not personally associating you with the current Southerner definition. At least look beyond descriptors and answer this:
What do you think or feel when you see some fellow Americans spew lies and hate, disrupt public discourse with shouting and mis-information, and threaten bodily harm?
We can be intellectual about our origins and experiences and reasons for thinking...but what are you going to DO about it?
Stoopid.
Why? Poor education systems? see Texas.
Why? Poor pre-natal care? see Texas.
Why? No jobs? see New Orleans.
Why? Poor nutrition? see obesity/diabetes states.
Why? Because over 50% of Americans believe solely in Creationism? see Kansas et al.
Why? Because over 50% of Americans still think Saddam Hussein and Osama were BFFs? see USA under Unchecked Cheneyspeak.
These and Fox News and hate radio and corporately owned MSM controlling Olbermann and O'Reilly and EnronII, Wallstreet and, of course, no jobs/food/money will also contribute to stoopidness.
Reporting on the Stoopids and their obviously orchestrated outrage increases stoopidness.
Hey folks, call your rep's local office and ask who will be making decisions about your health with this plan. But first, any idea who makes the decisions now? (The B F Insurance companies.) Terrorize them, will ya? and stop the dramatics.
Stop being stoopid.
These people were/are Republicans. As children, they were schoolyard bullies. They never advanced beyond those tactics.
Now, when democracy doesn't go their way, they just use more bullying. They know only to lie and shout and eventually they will hit and bruise.
I am not sure I wouldn't be dragged down to ragefulness if I were in a public meeting trying to find out my rep's views about health care and the bullies started in. I'm angry enough about health care costs and gas prices and rich banks being bailed-out and torturers getting off...so I am staying home.
And turning off any media that gives these creeps any time.
Our DOJ, in a new Administration (which had little to do to be better than Bush/Cheney/Ashcroft/Gonzalez)promising an end to Gitmo
CONTINUES to DOG this forever damaged kid as if his alleged crime was punishable,
When they won't DECIDE 8 months after the election to even get the smell out of war criminals at the highest level, despite the sad ole' ROLaw, and the majority of us who want that justice, to prevent it from happening again?
Jawad vs. Bush Administration.
Jawad vs. Obama Administration.
It is an outrage. Hey Obama, do you think we voted for this outrage?
I don't care about the reasons for any delay. I want justice NOW!
answer, Cary. The energy it takes to move and start over is not apparent but it is huge. Use the supports you have. Plus, your Dad sounds like a good male role-model (whatever that is) for your son AND your Mom may surprise you re: how she supports your son, which is also supporting you. They won't be there forever. Generational differences are good things to learn at 12...I wish you good luck!
95% of voters visiting AngryVoters.org go on to IndictBushNow.Org
Voters reading media news articles about the Bush-Cheney abuses of power and violations of Federal Law and Constitution WANT Bush, Cheney and their Appointee Lawyers Prosecuted For Torture. See? Chuck Todd?
We all (can) place comments on related news stories on major news websites all over the US. Like Salon.com ~ and WAPO... and add the truth about what Americans really want: Lawbreakers to be charged, tried, punished so really, REALLY, NO ONE is above the law. What is so hard about that?
Time to get viral!
Dobbs is racist and playing that clip of that creepy birther and her cheering believers is fomenting hatred of Obama.
As a Bush/Cheney critic, I didn't hear of such venomous sneering. When there were millions of marchers against Bush and his policies, there was but fleeting coverage on the MSM.
