  • Why is Halloween only for children?

[Read the article: No more Slut-o-ween!]

I understand he's being satirical, but I think it's crappy satire. What's his point, it's silly to get upset about women's costumes or hey ladies you aren't fooling anyone, we all know you're nothing but teasing sluts deep down so just stand at the door handing out candy to the cutesy kids, we'll give you another day to walk around half naked?

    Which is it?

  • Funny stuff

[Read the article: On Notice: Colbert trounces Obama on Facebook]

Well at least college students are interested in politics. That's good as I think the youth of the country are the ones if they would actually vote, could outdo all those middle aged and elderly fuddy duddies who want everything back the way it was pre-WWII or at least pre-Vietnam, but still want wars without raising taxes.

As for Colbert, are that many people really interested in him winning the presidency or are they just going to be a bunch of dunder headed kids that hand the White House over to another Republican power hungry macho posturing fool becuase they like participating in the joke?

  • Bionic Woman

[Read the article: I Like to Watch]

Bionic Woman certainly sucks, she is certainly a crappy secret agent. Her agency sucks, hey kill him if you have too. Gee thanks, I'm forced to work for you, now I may have to kill people from time to time, super. Now there is a CIA love interest, whom she shows her super bionic powers to even though they are like totally top secret. Oh puke.

Pushing Daisies is indeed awesome, I love the colors, the set design, the costumes, the bee hive on the roof was amazing. I'm grateful it's been picked up for a full season as I thought it would tank being too weird for most people, at least the ones I talk to. I found the story of Ned and his dog very touching! Though I find They MIght Be Giants amusing, the musical interludes are pretty much the only part of the show I wish would go away.

  • What's up with the sister?

[Read the article: My husband is groping my sister]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Well LW, you certainly are in a pickle. I don't think divorce it quite called for yet, but in my humble opinion here are the steps I think you should take.

First, I think you should talk to your sister, ask her why she thinks she should be drinking alone with your husband. Why is she befriending your husband when he has groped her and kissed her, but she keeps spending time with him. You need to find out what your sisters issues are. Is she mad at you for something and using your husband as a way to smack you in the face, metaphorically? Is she jealous that you are married and she is not? Does she think your husband is an uber creep and is using herself to prove to you it's time to leave this ass? Has she always competed with you where men are concerned? You need to tell her that her actions are just as hurtful as your husbands, that she is crossing boundaries she shouldn't be and that if she really loves you, she'll stay the hell out of your marriage and stop spending time with your husband. If your sister does not listen, does not care, keeps spending alone time with your husband, cut the skanky bitch out of your life. Blood does not mean you need to put up with someone who crosses boundaries and hurts you like she does. Her actions are not pure and innocent.

Next, meet with a divorce attorney to find out what your life would look like post divorce. Make sure you and the children are financially protected, if you are unemployed, it's time to find gainful employment.

After seeing the attorney, discuss with your husband about getting into marital therapy. In therapy, a drinking problem could be addressed. Maybe he is being passive aggressive, maybe he wants out of the marriage but is too much of a coward to tell you so he's hurting you waiting for you to kick him out. Maybe he's angry at you for other things and is using your sister and drinking as a way to get back at you. Or the harshest one, maybe he's never been madly in love with you and you're the one that's been keeping this relationship moving forward, maybe if you review your lives togehter, maybe he's never really acted all that into you, but because you love him so much you ignore it and have been putting all the effort into the relationship while he coasts, gets drunk and gropes or cheats with other women. Or maybe he's just a creepy selfish asshole who doesn't care about the people in his life, he just wants to have a "good time" and cares not one whit about maintaining trust and healthy boundaries.

So LW, I wish you the best but now is the time for honest introspection and review of the relationships that are important to you. If your husband does not care about you any longer, there is nothing you can do to change that, so brace yourself for it.

  • One more thing about Bionic

[Read the article: I Like to Watch]

One thing I forgot to mention that grates my nerves during an episode of BW are the fight scenes. They are awful, they are horribly coregraphed, when "Chuck's" fight scenes are better than a show partially about fighting, someone needs to hire a better stunt co-ordinator.

Oh and the continutity has problems too. The week previously she had kicked the shit out of her mentor over protecting a guy she probably shouldn't have, this week, they are back to being team players, was there no discussion about this?
