Virtual Wives

It does seem pretty sad, this particular guy lives in a fake world instead of doing whatever he can to make his real one interesting. One where he's hot, got a hot wife and he's rich and won't ever get sick or die.
Though, if I was the wife, that computer would have been thrown out the window by now. If the TV has to go too, fine, because that's the crux of his argument, I spend all my time in a virtual world and you watch TV, it's totally equal hobbies! He's addicted and doing all that he can to justify the addiction, I don't think the virtual wife is really the main problem though. It's that he doesn't want to face real life when he spent 10 hours building a property.
I would definetly have a conversation about how yes, aging sucks ass. Getting diabetes and having gall surgery sucks ass, but you can either make your older life interesting by traveling and finding hobbies to do with your real wife, or you can sit inside everysingle day and slowly waste away while pretending you are living.
This is one reason why I don't visit chat rooms and don't play role playing games. Reading is quite enough, beyond that I like real people and real things.
And I'm only here now because I can't freaking sleep!

Oh really, do you speak for all men? The men that have been my friends since I was I was a teen would beg to differ. My brothers were my first playmates, so I've always had male friends. I like to roughhouse, drink and play cards. These friends have been black, white, latino and asian. Even during the most hormonal of times, the teenage years, never once did I fear for my phyisical saftey with these guys, where I was often the only female amongst 5 or 6 guys. Friends I drink with, play dominos, spades and video games with. Go bike riding, talk about relationships and even spent the night on their couches when I was too drunk to go home. Not once during any of these drunken playtimes did one of the many males I was surrounded with try to have sex with me against my will, flirt sure. Would they have slept with me if I offered, maybe. They did not try to take me into a darkly lit room and try to take advantage of me.
Oh and no, I am not, nor ever was some fat troll no man would ever touch. I was plenty popular enough in the dating world, my dates and my male friends lived in seperate circles.
The only men who can't be friends with women without constantly trying to sleep with them are men like you who only think women are good for sex. Who you can't be bothered to get to know them beyond what sexual favors they can offer you, because obviously men and women don't have anything in common except the urge to reproduce.
Real men, good men, can be friends with women and can also have girlfriends and wives that they focus all of their sexual energy on.
Are there men who cannot be friends with women, sure, I've met some of them. They are people you couldn't pay me to spend time with.
The way to make men look like worthless scum, tell women that men are so horrible, so out of control, that if you spend any time alone with them, especially with liquor present, they will probably rape you.
Is that the message you want to send out into the world, the message you want to send your possible sons and daughters? Young lady, you were raped, so sorry that happend, but hey what do you expect, you were drinking with men, don't you know that men are horrible monsters that cannot control thier dicks when a woman is present and there is drinking? Silly girl, don't you know men can't be trusted? That men don't care about a womans tears and pain and pleas, that he's gonna do what he's gotta do and women should just know that they should never be alone with men without chaperones because men are such uncontrollable violent assholes?
Hey, maybe we should just sequester all of the males from the females, make the women wear modest clothing and tell them that drinking is verboten and they are never ever to be alone with non male relatives. Seems to be working so very well for the women of Islam. Gee, they're never raped, because they are so proper and dignified and ladylike.
As for this Hernandez case, either scenario is probable. Either she got drunk and made a sexual decision she regreted and was hiding behind a rape claim. Or she went drinking with some guys thinking they were trustworthy and found out that they were not and they raped her because they hold the belief system women drinking with us = woman consents to sex with us.
Some women do stupid things when they are drunk, some men do stupid things when they are drunk, but none of us can claim to know anything until after Sept 24th when the case goes to trial.
