  • Virtues used at weapons by others

[Read the article: My new roommate arrived ... with mom attached!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

This subletter did not disclose that she has an illness that requires assistance, but also doesn't seem real, work, party but mommy needs to be there at night? This makes her dishonest.

Then the mom is only staying tonight, the a couple more days, whoops, she's still here and it's been a week. That makes them two time liars, in what mother fucking world do people need to suck up living with liars?

Get off your martry horse, women do not need to stuff their own feelings and fears down to be nice to strangers! This is not a long time friend or already established roomie who's mom has come to stay for a bit longer than expected.

I don't know if these women are cons, moochers or just plain ol' inconsiderate people. But under no cirumstances should someone have to live with people she's fears leaving alone in her apartment for a weekend because they are dishonest, defensive and secretive.

They are using her virtues against her, her virtue of being polite, of wanting to be trusting, of wanting to be nice and accomodating for a possibly ill person and also playing the "mom" card. People who use others virtues as weapons to gain things they did not ask for first are people you don't have to put up with.

This is why the advise to get all of the agreements out in the open, to contact the people who subletted to this person and to be firm about mom's got to go, you both have to go, or mom needs to pay rent too conversation needs to happen.

They were not open, honest or forthright, when people start off being dishonest towards you, you are not under any obligating to assume anything else they say is true.

This was an agreement for one person to sublet, not two people, one of whom doesn't seem to ever leave the place. The agreement is being abused, why should she take the abuse?

Plus bottom line, this is her apartment, her name is on the lease, she gets to have a say in who lives with her, her subletters don't get to dictate the living arrangements, such as gee I know you'd like your place to yourself from time to time, but tough, here's my mom and she doesn't have anything better to do than sit around your home, congrats, suck it up, isn't my mommy nice?

  • I don't think Harry will die.

[Read the article: Harry Potter and the prediction pool]

It would just anger, disappoint and piss off to many fans and harm any series or books Rowling may write in the future. If the customers are going to continue to buy her products, they are going to have to trust her and you just don't do that by killing off nearly everyone's favorite character, even if it is to make him a martyr.

Also, I think Dumbledore is not dead. It is an oft used tool by fantasy writers to kill off the most powerful wizard/warlock to allow the protagonist to realize that he/she must stand on their own two feet and not count on the bigger stronger person to always take care of them, which I think is also supported by Dumbledore insisting on Harry's training with Snape and the Horcrux finds.

I suspect that Harry may be the final Horcrux, but that Voldemort doesn't know it. He's been trying to kill Harry every year and destroying the object that holds his soul is what destroys Voldemort. I also think that I could be totally off because Harry being a Horcrux was a suspicion immediately pounced upon by many Potter fans after the 6th book release and Rowling has been pretty good at making her plot twists surprises.

I also think Snape is on the side of good and used the Aveda Kadavra spell at Dumbledore's insistence and that it was all part of a plan that Harry couldn't be allowed to unwittingly interfere in.

As for who will die, Snape, protecting Harry. Harry's got to have some scars from his final battles and some reasonable guilt. I also think that Ron, Hermionie and Hagrid are up for death grabs too. Simply because if Draco, Percy, Ginny, or some of the other peripheral characters die it won't be enough of an emotional impact and Harry is going to need some sort of reason to confront Voldemort on his terms instead of being ambushed all the time. It has been well grounded in Harry's character that he has a hero/rescue complex so I don't see him going after V boy without a push out of pain. I also suspect that Draco when confronted with real evil will cower in fear and join the good side, cause it's less scary.

I just hope we get to find out what's behind that veil in the Department of Mysteries and while it'd be nice if Sirius came back, I just think it's not going to happen. Harry can't have too much of a happy ending if he survives, it would be too cute if Sirius lives and Harry goes off to live with him but that he'll find another relative in this R.A.B character who will give Harry clues on how to permanently destroy Voldemort.
