A perfect metaphor

Governor Palin represents perfectly what the Republican party has become. In the 50's there was informed debate, based on reasoned logic from educated people. They may not have agreed with you but repsected your opinion and everyone was working for the same goal, the betterment of our society and we lead the world in damn near everything (yes I know there was the CIA but don't interrupt). The strategy of divide and conquer started with Nixon and has now morphed in a Rovian hybred that is actually not ashamed to say that the issues don't matter. Currently we have a President that has mired us down globally in foreign policy, energy policy and alienated the world to the point where we have no credibility to solve anything. There are Bear bombers in Venuzeula, an egomaniac Korean rumbling about nuclear weapons, an exploding Middle East and country at home that as of this writing has little confidence in the economy, an exploding homeless population and is purposely divided by politicians who want to remain in power at all costs.

Now they bring us Governor Palin who is even less qualified than Bush, has even less credibility yet the GOP hacks have the umitigated gall to say she had a good week and we need to let Sarah be Sarah? It's a statement of our times that the people think she is a viable candiadte. Reading this unadultered propoaganda makes me mad. Liberal media my ass

Thank you

As the surreal aspect of this campaign has bubbled into insanity, I have found myself missing Molly as well. I honestly think that over time as people actually read what W has done, a lot of her writings will resurface and there will be a genuine appreciation of her work on a much larger scale. I hope there is a young woman in journalism school who will one day fill those shoes. I am not sure how that could happen because Molly was one of a kind.

Original article: Rove sees Obama win

I am sorry

I have to say I didn't read the article. As much as I agree with Mr. Rove I think he is responsible for the deep divisions of my fellow countryman and anything he says should be from his rightful place in a Federal Prison. He has no credibility, is a known liar and deserves neither respect nor an forum from which he can spout his drivel. Period

Original article: Juicing up the ticket

Elephantman represents the worst of our country

After reading his posts for sometime elephantman represents to me exactly why the conservative movement as we know know it is a complete failure. Let's recap shall we? The economy under GOP control for over thirty years has caused a tidal wave of failures throughout the world. Our military and foreign policy is bogged down looking for weapons of mass distruction, bringing democracy to the middle east, not talking to anyone we have issues with and our status in the world has fallen to the point where no one accepts the Bush solution and we have a President who trots out every morning to the Rose Garden to tell us this problem will take awhile to solve. Good Lord man how blind are you? The conservative game plan has taken a nose dive and has been utterly and completely discredited in the entire world! Elephantman wake up! Your guy lost, your philosophy is dead and Bush has the lowest ratings in history! Its over man. McCain has employed an erratic risky game plan that includes a Governor of a state that claims she has foreign policy experience because she lives next to Russia? It's sad and the American people have realized it and the polls are turning towards a landslide 30 days from the vote. You really need to look around. What did Ferris Buehler say?" Life moves pretty fast

If you don't stop and look around

once in a while, you could miss it"
