Write on Garrison

To those who object to a more seasoned approach to life, it's clear you having some living to do. One of the things that dawns on you at some point is that you have different life experiences and that is part of the equation that makes you who you are today. A cordoroy jacket and six pairs of jeans is a simpler life but would you go back?

The village idiot in the White House got his job through deceit, lies and more than likely crimes to get elected. His policies have left this country less secure, financially banrupt and we stand as the pariah in the neighborhood. The coming election will indeed wash away the ego maniacs running things but will take years to recover if ever. It is time to start over. The American people are looking for more than a change, they are looking for an outright revolution and its long overdue

One exception

I've read enough accident reports and I know I'm not getting on a Korean Air flight. Sounds like fun otherwise.

It's the government stupid!

I am sure this is a rehash of Patricks lessons but this is America, so here goes. First lesson is that the airlines operate on a low profit margin. When you think about it going from SFO to Paris and back even on Air France for about $1200, it's is a pretty good deal. 38,000 feet at 500kts, it really is nothing short of amazing. That said, airlines cut costs whenever they can and the days of super service with china and silverware are a distant memory. The thing that most galls me is the transfer of the hostility that is caused by the silliness our government refers to as security, to the airlines. There is nothing worse than having to stand in line for poor service and surley employees. In any other situation most of us would take our business elsewhere. Deregulation, shoe bombs, and village idiots in high placed government positions contribute more to the disatisfaction than the airlines. Granted they are huge corporate entities that often mistreat you but if you think they're to blame, you haven't been paying attnetion. There's an election coming up in a couple of months. Make some noise. They work for you.

Created in fear and living it as well

When the village idiot became President and proposed the Department of Homeland Security I got an uneasy feeling. That feeling continues today only more so. Just in case you haven't been paying attention the TSA is getting incrementally worse. They now have millimeter wave length type viewers that can see through your clothes. That horse has left the barn but no one is telling these people. They have way too much money to spend with under trained and poorly managed staff and nobody seems to like them. There education is limited and most staff is lacking in any semblance of professionalism. This department is the brain child of George W, Bush so their poor performance serves as a good symbol for his presidency. Vote this fall and take the train

OMG

No flag lapel pin. Why does McCain hate America? And his down ward gesture with his fore finger, isn't that some sort of terrorist signal? Please, please vote America, it really is important, really.

Political will?

First let me say I have only voted for a Republican once in my life as 19 year old Petty Officer Third Class while in the US Navy. That was in 1972. I have been fired from my job as an Air Traffic Controller in 1981 by Ronald Wilson Reagan. My ex wife says that I cannot blame everything on old Ronnie but I tend to do so.

Several years ago I was against impeachment of W beacuse I saw what happened during the Clinton proceedings and thought the disruption was too great and there were too many things that needed to addressed. W has the attention span of a 6 year old and heaven knows he didn't need to be distracted further. I have since changed my mind on impeachment primarily because I want a message sent. I want whomever is waiting in the wings, who evers considers dividing the country for their own gain, whomever wants to subvert the Constituion, whomever chooses to make the administration of Justice a political exercise, I want them to know that this kind of stuff will not be tolerated. I want them to know that when the people get to the bottom of this, there will be jail time, disgrace of the highest order and to know that this happened before, (remember Bush, Cheney and Rove) and to know that the full power of American legal system will fall upon their evil heads and that there is a price to pay for such disrespect for their own country and countrymen. I want them to know. Lack of political will, please
