a video on being pro-life that included some graphic image of dead fetuses or parody on stem cell research? Would she have still been dismissed?
These itierations of "I don't recall" all point to protecting someone bigger than him.
Wasn't her testimony May 23rd?
First the Fix now this.
Opinions are good, but when we loose sight of the issue at hand (and there are SO many) and start attacking each other we miss the true meaning of civil discourse.
Think before you type.
So I don't expect too much in terms of ethical standards.
However, I think there is a way to play this that keeps the Obama camp from sinking to the Cindy McCain's half sister tirad (Although, I really want Dems to strike back). They could play this up within the immigrant populations. Think about it. Two brothers, two different worlds... "I understand what it is like".....
Also, there are many reasons why Barack may not have "taken care of his own brother" and those are personal. Mind you his father abandoned him- would you want to go take care of a sibling from another mother? Not that it makes it right, but I think there is a way for Obama to humanize himself some more with his struggles to come to terms with this particular familial relationship.
We get it Bill Clinton is a perv.
I love getting a dig at McCain as much as the next pro-obama person, but I feel like this is something best left to Moveon, and others. I'm concerned that this gives the wrong kind of message.
I think it was the song really. I would have been fine with the text being read with that sinister voice we are accustomed to this time of the political season....
I felt proud of my own diverse background.
All I could think during her speech was, how many little girls and boys are seeing this and believing they can be great. Far more than when I was growing up, I'm sure....
Well done, she nailed it. Top that Cindy McCain!!!!
I want to see how this duo addresses real issues. So far it's all been about Palin's family drama. This is distracting us! Focus people, focus.
The first PERSON OF COLOR nominee for the president of the united states,I believe, prevails over another female GOP operative manipulated.
This was posted in today's Anchorage Daily News....

Well she can read from a teleprompter and give some zingers. The real test will be her interactions with the press and debates.
Although, the presentation of her family was a little awkward (maybe because there were so many) and I thought she could have gone to the incredible "executive experience" she has, but there's so much more time for that, and I for one certainly look forward to hearing more innovative ways to spin it.
Chris Matthews noted that after the speech that McCain's choice wasn't about Hilary (or feminism), this pick was about was about "culture". Culture, hmm, code for "he's black and here's this pretty white lady for you to go vote for." God I hope we have enough voters for Obama that have progress past this shameful display.
One more thing, did the "Palin Power" make anyone else cringe? It was just one noun to close to another type of power.
The Palintards will call you sexist for pointing this out.
Her experience is weak case closed. Let's see her in some interviews with the press!!!!
When I found out last spring that her baby had Downs. I felt a little conflicted and also questioned why even have the test. Would she had made a different choice if he had a more severe, developmental disability?
Her choice is her choice, just as mine should be mine. As a legislature, I'm appalled that she doesn't see this difference.
Alaska's State Senator. She and Palin, both from Wasilla have know each other for years and when Lyda didn't support Palin run for Gov, she went ballistic and since then has hung Lyda out to dry. Kind of a scary story, if you think about it.

Lyda was also on Rachael Maddow last night 9/22 check it out.
