The corn has ears !?

=))))

...and the celery stalks you . That's my argument, in part to the "I'm innocent, so don't have to worry." crowd. Noticed a few things while sitting in that special box . Not only do the ears have a lot of smut and borers, the eyes tend to see all potatoes as rotten . It's an occupational hazard of that sort of farming .

It's especially apparent , in taking statements . They tend to paraphrase, using similar word but with more sinister connotations. The nervous person then signs, to git! ,ASAP. Later, they are much chagrined to find themselves impaled to the witness chair by a few different words.

Imagine that mindset watching and listening to everything, or maybe worse, to a sampling , in secret. People get wrongly convicted , with all their rights intact. In the ter-rist blackhole , it is/will be a lot worse. Besides, it's none of their *^&*!~^%&*&*@!!!! bidness!

@ gc wall

Indeed, the criminals have been writing the laws , for a long time , and to a lesser extent, always . They're just more blatant at the moment .

Sometimes it seems more about winning "the game", more than anything else . They're so far into it , that's all they see . How this constitutes "winning" , I don't know .

"Why?"?

That's what I asked Harry Reid , and some others. Asked "This?" "That?" etc and answered it ~ 12 different ways.Told him/them same as what those polls said (ones that GG posted), without having seen them. No response . John Edwards was the only one with a response , maybe because all he got was an "attaboy" . ( & he doesn't count anymore)

G-Celery-o, got a good laugh (sarcastic ) from/@ uncle yahoo today.

Them, for the 4th time :

"....In extreme cases, members who have also violated the Yahoo! Terms of Service risk losing their Yahoo! ID and access to other Yahoo!services."

Me - for the 3rd time:

".....just want to know what exactly does it violate ? ....... Once again , to review, : I used to work with people

that were prone to uttering stupid, racist comments . I explained how I dealt with it, and tried to explain the mindset behind it , offering my best guess as to how to deal with it . In no way was this an endorsement of it . Is that the misunderstanding?Or did somone report me because I was sympatheic the the asker, who is originally from

the Middle East? I've gotten thumbs down for that on previous

occasions.

- Mike "

Them, for the 5th time:

"Any action taken is confidential. We will not release this information unless required to do so by law or under other similar circumstances. We are unable to make exceptions to this rule."

=))) "unable to make exceptions"? "other similar circumstances"?

Should I tell them I'm from the WH,NSA, or the Chinese guv-mint? ;D Is that legal? Would I get any Senators to give me immunity?

Question/Scary Kids

Was wondering , can the telecoms be put into receivership for all their criminal activity , or is that just for financial problems? (On the theory that the bad boys need supervision) I seem to remember a case or three , but it may have been that the criminal acts caused financial difficulty . Would love to see the reaction of the execs, to the idea of some GAO/IRS types, with federal marshall escorts, doing what had been their business. ;D

Re: the scary kids

I remember a Christiane Ammanpour piece about some "scary" jihad kids in Pakistan . The kids were about 5 +/- , and were attacking effigies of Bush and Blair , shouting slogans . They looked to be having a good 'ol time getting silly with it , in an innocent kid-like way. After some filming and narration , she started the interview with an English-speaking adult.

He tried to portray himself as some sort of fierce warrior-type , and the kids as committed as he was , especially in regard to the Bush/Blair-hating.However , he apparently hadn't counted on anyone being able to speak other than English. In mid-spiel , she stopped him with ~ "C'mon How can these kids can't hate Pres. Bush? They don't even know who George Bush and Tony Blair are. They're just doing what you told them to" He starts to dissemble again , and "No I didn't". She repeats it back to him , word for word . Oops! Weasel-in-the-headlights sheepish look. The camera pans back to the other adults. They're all laughing . Finally the spokesman can't hold back , and bursts out laughing too. It's all just an exercise they do for the cameras, and apparently don't care that much about.

Just a sampling

of a part of the problem ...

Have been curious about where the money lies in this situation. (We know to WHOM it lies ;D)

Found this free campaign finance site http://www.campaignmoney.com/ , where it's relatively easy to search . (Some are purposely meant to be difficult)

The first Telecom donor I found was the TMobile PAC. Below is a list of Senate recipients . There's not quite 2x that many from the House. I noticed that they only give to incumbents. (Hmmm, wonder why?)

The Senators:

Biden Corker Murray Stevens

Boxer Durbin Pryor Sununu

Carper Klobuchar Reid Thune

Cochran McCain Rockefeller Udall

Collins McConnell Smith

I'm not suggesting it's the sole reason that they do what they do, or that it's a quid pro quo. It does buy access, though. Harder to bite the hand that feeds, if you know it personally. Wondering if there's any way to publicly hit them with a complete compilation of those donations , and embarass some of them into changing their position?(assuming they still have the capacity for embarassment)

"I can laugh at this because I know that it's just 'boy crying wolf'. It's the ignorant choads that I see driving their cars around with their 'Bush 04' stickers still on their cars."

I laugh too, until I think about the high probability that those that haven't scraped those damned things off , still believe.

How'd you guess, what gave me away?
