Unless...... the "kooks" are pushing it . It's a dream scandal for Limbaugh, Coulter, et al . They get to blamelessly bring up the dirt on McCain , get righteously outraged at their favorite bete noir , and there's the possibility that McCain will have to drop out and be replaced by a "real" Republican .

Part or all of a response : Split screen, vertically, Constitution on one side( left - why ? Not sure , but it feels better) , AT&T, Verizon, et al logos on the other . Put the McConnell and Bush quotes (& any other good-bad ones) on the side of logos (sound?video? text?) . Narration of the arguments . Music ? If need be, how about Which Side Are You On? - Dropkick Murphys ?

Whatever the response , it has to make clear that what has been happening is unambiguously illegal , and involves EVERYONE/YOU! . Otherwise it risks being viewed as same ol', same ol' by those with just a passing knowledge of the issue.

For some of the Republicans, it is cynical manipulation , but unfortunately , it seems that most ( & their fellow travelers) actually believe what they say . Hard to believe that they'd all be that accomplished as thespians.

1/4 to 1/3 of the population also believe . That's not a majority, but it's a large enough and loud enough minority to cause a lot of trouble for anyone that tries to fight BushCo, ( or just state facts) . Tough one to crack . *??????*

@Androgyne We had all those anti-propoganda lessons/dissections in school 20+ yrs ago . Don't know how widespread it was , or the success rate . I do still remember it,though.

Now censorship has extended to the United States of America, land of the First Amendment. As of Friday, February 15, those going to Wikileaks.org have gotten Server not found messages. Today I received a message explaining that a California court has granted an injunction written and requested by Cayman Island’s Bank Julius Baer lawyers. It seems that the bank is trying to keep the public from accessing documents that may reveal shady dealings. Wikileaks was only given a couple of hours notice “by email” and was not even represented at the hearing where a U.S. judge took such a drastic step attempting to totally shut down an important information outlet. The result was this totally unprecedented attempt to totally wipe out the existence of Wikileaks:

“Dynadot shall immediately clear and remove all DNS hosting records for the wikileaks.org domain name and prevent the domain name from resolving to the wikileaks.org website or any other website or server other than a blank park page, until further order of this Court.”

@adnoto, Are you criticizing methods, or just the idea of opposing the WH's positions/actions ? If the former , what's your suggestion(s) , if any . Are you saying that it's hopeless? Not really sure what you mean , other than "That won't work" .
