@ madamfauntleroy: Got Much Hate?
[Read the article: Some free advice for Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Really, you seem not to be able to handle criticism. And to accuse me of being a paid HRC "shill" or whatever word you used is not only false, it's a smear and an ad-hominem attack.
This board does not belong to "Obama" or Obama followers. I have never engaged in low-blows toward Obama or his followers. I have always published factual information and informed opinions. I don't call people names and I really don't appreciate your innuendo or accusations. There is such a thing as civil debate and disagreement -- which I try to engage in. That you cannot tells me more about Sen. Obama and what an Obama presidency might look like. It isn't reassuring.

@ KcM: My Mistake
[Read the article: Some free advice for Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The BOLD was a mistake in html. I noticed that, too, right after it posted and wow, was I embarrassed!! Thus, it wasn't deliberate...

@ KcM: Ah, Come On!
[Read the article: Some free advice for Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Caucuses are notoriously undemocratic. They are representative of those people who have the time, energy, ability to show up (usually on a Saturday), at a certain time.
I happen to be "older" and semi-retired (I still teach English and journalism courses), so I have the time. But what about voters who have children? Or those who work on Saturdays (service workers, for example)? What about those who have family responsibilities on weekends? Or those who have not only kids but adult parents to care for? What about elderly voters who need special assistance just to go out?
By the way, KcM: Since we're on the subject of delegates, why is it that Sen. Obama can get away with calling for Florida delegates to be seated -- during a press conference he had in Florida (against the DNC rules) -- but when Sen. Clinton calls for the same thing she's accused of being "unfair"? Here's the link:

Also -- thanks for having my back! I appreciate it, as I appreciate having a good debate and discussion with you. I've always found your posts to be honest and informed.

@ Ellis Diablo: A Perfect Summary Of Clark-Flory's 'Theory'
[Read the article: Quote of the day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Don't forget the ameliorative effect of an approach that utilizes disparate intergenerational currents, within a cross-cultural dynamic, in order to precipitate a palliative precursor to true social change among our key demographics.

Yeah. Let's Blame All the Old Feminists -- That Will Fix It!
[Read the article: Quote of the day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]What a terribly disappointing and disturbing piece this was.
Old feminists are to blame for being called hags, bitches, broads, old ladies, pre-menstrual, post-menstrual, "Midol-Maids", stupid, angry, calculating, racist, power-hungry, brainless, and spineless.
And of course we are supposed to sit quietly when we -- or Sen. Clinton -- are called any of the above and more, or when we are accused of basically eating small children for lunch.
But this is the best part: This trash-talk comes from men and young women who want to change the world.
Yeah. I have a lot of faith in THAT goal -- especially since these very same people don't even accept Sen. Clinton's experience around the world for human rights, women's rights and children's rights as "real" experience!
As long as people like Tracy Clark-Flory are willing to ignore, minimize and deny the blatant and ongoing misogyny from Obama and his followers and continues to blame it all on "old feminists", I guarantee we won't get far.
Maybe she should try talking to me when she takes her head out of wherever it is...and THAT'S being charitable!

@ KcM: The Rules Were In Effect
[Read the article: Some free advice for Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]That Obama quote about FL delegates is a reach, and I'm sure you know it. It wasn't even substantiated that the new rules had gone down at that point, and he was just crossing the street to get some cameras out of his mix. Seems pretty clear, but if not, I can provide some links.
I believe that you believe what you do. But I also think it's disingenuous to say that Obama didn't know the rules were in effect when he talked with reporters about seating Florida delegates, or that his comment is "a reach."
One of the problems I have with Obama and his followers is that there often seems to be an abundance of excuses and justifications for his behavior and words. Clinton seems to be held to "Clinton rules", while Obama is allowed to slide under the radar. In old-fashioned parlance, that's a "double standard."

Enabling Behavior
[Read the article: Tucker Carlson unintentionally reveals the role of the American press]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I was thrilled to read this. I was a journalist (and I continue to do some freelance writing). The way American reporters do their jobs has been a big peeve of mine for years. But people like me have been marginalized for our views to the point where we're considered old jokes: the eys roll, followed by a "sigh" that seems to say: "Look out. Here we go again."
The sad part of this is that American citizens no longer know the difference between good journalism and bad, which means they don't know the difference between good government and bad. And this is reinforced every day by MSNBC and the collective nitwits they call "journalists." I don't even respect Keith Olbermann any more because he, too, is just another dog in that pack.
Thanks, Glenn!
