  • Barack Supporters . . .

Do you know how badly many of you come-off posting here?

Calling people "racists"? Calling people "dimwits", then telling them to stop insulting Obama supporters? Bragging about what "amazing people" you are?

Some of you folks make me want to vote against him in November. And there alot more people like me in America.

The majority of Americans don't vote in Democartic primaries, but will in the General.

I think if Barack know how you treated other people, he'd be kinda ashamed of some of you.

How about trying to have as much class and dignity as he does?

    IMHO.

And we've got two talented quarterbacks fighting for the starting position. Fighting hard, even. But when the season starts, we'll need to all play together to win. (if you'll allow the football analogy).

I was just a teenager back in '80, but this year is alot like then. Dems had Carter and Kennedy fighting hard for the nomination. Bad feelings at the end. And the winner was to take-on a doddering old foggie from the GOP.

And Reagan won. Two terms, even.

And it could happen again now, because Republicans can't govern worth a darn, but they sure know how to win presidential elections.

So, please, both sides remember who our real opponents are.

    As always, IMHO.

    Ap accepted. :-)

There's just so much animosity among the supporters, that I just shake my head that we're gonna screw this General election up royally.

But I think that Obama and Clinton don't take this personally; this is all part of the job of running for president.

But gonna be tough for them to put the party back together in time for November.

  • Curious Definition . . .

"he knew this one black guy" == "my spiritual mentor who brought me to Christ"

    Obama/Wright '08

At least from reading the bat-shit crazy posts in this thread.

  • Simple questions for Obama . . .

[Read the article: Wright's theology not "new or radical"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Barack has gone to Trinity for 20yrs, where Rev. Wright has preached "Black Liberation Theology", and Obama says Wright was his "spiritual advisor".

So, does Obama believe in "Black Liberation Theology"?

If so, does he believe in all of its precepts? Or what specific precepts does he disagree with?

If not, why has he stayed in that church for 20yrs.

Forget about all the bat-shit-crazy shtick from Wright. How about just Barak's feelings on Black Liberation Theology?

These are honest questions I have about all this. I only know Obama from what he's told me about himself the last 12 months he's been running for President. That he's stayed in his church for 20yrs implies to me that he has at least some affinity towards Black Liberation Theology.

Romney's Mormonism was an issue in his campaign, because Mormonism seemed so alien to many Americans. Obama's gonna have a similar issue with Black Liberation Theology, and he'll need to explain his relationship with it.

    IMHO.

    some kind words for america

but somehow the vast majority of america would not only overlook this but be entranced by his nobility, intelligence and frankness.

pat yourselves on the back, america!

Umm . . . you do know that "america" consists of more than AA's and bat-shit crazy liberals, don't you?

That the DEM PARTY has let a slight majority of them pick the nominee doesn't speak for "america".

I've voted a straight Dem ticket for the last sixteen years. I've given thousands of dollars to Dem candidates. But I didn't vote for Dukakis, and I won't vote for Obama (even with a Clinton-supporter as his VP).

I'd rather have a President McCain; I'll support him in his moderate policies, and oppose him on his conservative ones.

That's still better than a disaster of a President Obama administration. (I do remember the Carter years).

    Country above party.

    IMHO.

  • McCain over Obama

[Read the article: Night lands Clinton closer to oblivion]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

McCain's been my favorite GOP'er for years. I stipulate that he is tacking to the right to solidify his base, though. I expect when he's in the Oval Office, he'll be more like the '00 McCain than the '08 McCain. That's my take, at least.

And a strong Dem Senate should be able to stop any right-wing lunacy that he may try to pull to placate the right wing. Including SC justices and dumb taxcuts. With Clinton as Sen Maj Leader, I think that's even more likely.

I don't think a McCain administration with a Dem Congress will be a nightmare. An Obama administration with a Dem Congress _does_ sound like a disaster, though. (e.g., Carter '76-'81, Clinton '93-'95).

I'm a moderate Democrat; been a Dem my whole life. I know people like me aren't valued by Obama supporters, nor even the party elite these days. We're told to quit the party in threads all over the internet.

But I truly think alot of Dems feel the way I do, and that Obama will lose 49 states in Nov. We're nominating someone way too liberal to get elected. As polling show, a whole lot of moderate Dems will split their ticket in November. The Ned Lamont Fiasco taught the net-roots nothing, apparently.

Dukakis' blow-out in '88 led to the creation of the DLC; we'll need a new DLC in 2009.

    As alway, IMHO.

  • If someone chooses to not vote in an election . . .

[Read the article: Lawsuit seeks to force DNC to seat Florida delegates]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    then that's their choice.

A particularly stupid choise, but people make stupid choices all the time.

Kinda like if someone chooses to take their name off the MI ballot, just so they can suck-up to IA. Another stupid choice.

  • There were lots of other issues on the FL primary ballot

[Read the article: Lawsuit seeks to force DNC to seat Florida delegates]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

So people saying they didn't vote because they were told their "vote wouldn't count" don't give a rat's ass about all the other issues affecting their state.

And if they really wanted their vote in the primary to be heard, they would have voted, and then fought to have their votes counted by the DNC; just like they're doing now.

The DNC made a huge mistake in the way they decided to handle MI and FL; better the 50% penalty, like the GOP did. And I think it's never to late to fix a mistake.

And, I sent $1000 to Habitat for Humanity to help Katrina victims, so go fuck yourself, Uberhah.
