@Aycharaych
[Read the article: Media hostility toward anti-establishment candidates]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I will leave the labeling to others. One doesn't need a conspiracy to gain or hold on to consolidated power. History and circumstances tell much of the story. I don't think Guns, Germs, & Steel is a conspiracy theory. My question to you is, who cares? What does it matter?
If hundreds of years ago a bunch of bricklayers got together and figured out how to rule the world and say -- now they do -- does that help you choose a hammer and pick to dismantle their power?

[Read the article: Media hostility toward anti-establishment candidates]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]A lot of people who do what I do are what I call "parts replacers", they replace one part after another until eventually they get to the right one. At which point...
...they move on to the next part. (fixed)
IMO, conspiracy theorists never - ever - get beyond this stage. That and recruiting more "parts replacers."

[Read the article: Media hostility toward anti-establishment candidates]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]To tell you the truth, I haven't read what you've written on the matter. Is your crowning argument regarding "forms of conspiracy" relevant to undoing the monarchy? Is it relevant to anything at all? I mean, what's the end game?
If all the peasants here say tomorrow, "gee that HRH sure had it right all along," then what? I'm happy to coronate you, but I don't hold the UT scepter or anything. Heck, I've never even seen it.

[Read the article: Harry Reid's pro-life stance vs. Ron Paul's ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Perhaps the closest we can come to imagining is if the state were to force some men to harvest organs for the benefit of others.

moving goal posts
[Read the article: Journalistic balance vs. truth]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]amazing how moving the posts affects the entire field of play. Dems are partisan when they don't roll over. Bush attacks the Dems even after they've given him about all he wants.
President Bush, successful in forcing the Democratic Congress to bend to his will, complained Thursday that lawmakers had wasted time and taxpayers' money. His aggressive stand set a confrontational tone for Bush's final year in the White House.
http://tinyurl.com/2kofd3Bush gets a free pass on his partisanship though he is one of the least popular Presidents in the history of the US and was elected with no mandate.

FISA Debate Wiki
[Read the article: Reid and company target the true enemy: "Dodd and his allies"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I've created a Wiki:
http://fisa.wikispot.org/FISA_Debate?action=show&redirect=Front+Page
The objective is to create a simple, easy to understand "talking points" document that summarizes the arguments in favor of telecom immunity and the Intelligence Committee version of the FISA bill, and the counters to those arguments.
Anyone can edit and contribute, though you must create an account (easy to do).
Instead of working today, I parsed the debate transcript from Monday and quoted arguments in favor of the Intelligence bill and Telecom Immunity. You can find that here:
http://fisa.wikispot.org/FISA_Debate_Quotes
Next step is to roll these up into the main proponent arguments. I hope you find it easy to use and I hope you will contribute!

@RMP
[Read the article: Reid and company target the true enemy: "Dodd and his allies"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]My pleasure, RMP. I hope others will help out, at the very least, in the summarization stage. I think it could prove to be a useful way to provide information to friends and family.

@ondelette
[Read the article: Reid and company target the true enemy: "Dodd and his allies"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Interesting idea. Anyone know how digital cellular is encrypted? What are the endpoints?
BTW, I've added a summary of arguments page, upon which to build rebuttals. The arguments should be consolidate mo' better.

teaching fish
[Read the article: Championing mainstream political thought while pretending to oppose it]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Glenn attempts to teach people how to fish. It is a wonder to behold the precision of his methods. As shown by reactions to Glenn's posts, however, both in the MSM and even here on this board, you can't teach fish. (Especially went it comes to schools of them.) You lead fish.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Who the fuck are you? Are you a novelist? If not, can I ghost write for you? Where's your fucking blog? Or are you a better as a counterpuncher? - which I completely understand.
You are the most eloquent writer on this board, Glenn included.

[Read the article: Peggy Noonan is a serious "grown-up"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Not sure if you've seen these blogs:

In the past, military rule was designed to preserve order - and did so for a few years. No longer. Today it creates disorder and promotes lawlessness. How else can one explain the sacking of the chief justice and eight other judges of the country’s supreme court for attempting to hold the government’s intelligence agencies and the police accountable to courts of law? Their replacements lack the backbone to do anything, let alone conduct a proper inquest into the misdeeds of the agencies to uncover the truth behind the carefully organised killing of a major political leader.
