LWM rationalized "... The genesis for these unpleasantries was your assertion yesterday that paleocons used to be Democrats. ..."

No, the slimy responses from you insulting me got it started. Then you spent the entire day making the thread about you and I. I once saw 3 or 4 posts in a row that only had insults in the title and then just a mindless cut and paste job.

I know one such as you could not see that --- but that was what happened.

The fact you slandered a generation of good southern democrats did not help matters much. You may tar everyone you disagree with all you want --- but I will not take it with out a reply in like manner.

LWM dreamed ... "I'm no angel, but you lost everyone here when you included Paul Rosenberg ...

Speak for all, do you? Paul came to your defense early and often; his insults are more fun as they contain a subtle intelligence lacking on your part but he was part of the team.

He may claim otherwise himself if he feels he was an Angel that day.

    ---

PS: There were millions of paleo-cons who left the democratic party and voted for the damn GOP just because of people like you. The fact you want to use a different political label for them than I use does not get their votes back!

  • I want is government to _help_ me

We all do. The problem is that it just is not going to happen.

The word democide (sp?) was coined to describe the murder of tens, upon tens of millions of people in the 20th century by their *own* government.

    --

    But the police protect me!

Local news *today* as I read your words is about that kid they arrested last week with pipe-bombs and plans to blow up a school.

Turns out a county deputy (now former deputy) framed him in revenge for his mother rejecting his come-on line.

A question. How many police are killed in the line of duty vs. innocent people killed by police on a yearly basis?

  • They say Paul is a "nice guy"

... and they would be wrong.

    St. Paul writes:

    Let's Not Forget Bucky1

So much stupidity, so little time. Let's cut to the chase, shall we?

    Bucky:

The State is force. The state is brutal, coercive, enslaving force.

Once upon a time, it certainly was. But now it's consent of the governed time. And the most dramatic proof of that is how the governments of Easter Europe were overthrown almost entirely without violence when the citizens simply withdrew their consent.

    =========

Well, let see here. The ever popular Paul calls me both troll and stupid. How sweet and sophisticated of him!

He claims that I used to be correct, but not anymore. No proof -- just assertion. And, even if he was correct, why am I a troll if my timing is off?

Tell me, how did Paul get to be a saint anyway? Just because he is better than a wanker?

  • LWM is Deranged

LWM: ---> ... This is a mental illness.

No, your response is pure slim and invective. You are a Rush Limbaugh want-a-be.

I have heard you idiot lefties claim anyone who disagrees with you is "mentally ill" and I know what a Stalinist like you would do if you ever got any real power.

b1: "Exactly what does my believing in government have to do with anything?

IG: It has everything to do with the question you asked: did that community have the right to outlaw guns in their town? My point was that one can only have the conversation if all parties agree, first, that any government has a right to exist, and that in a democracy the group of people have a right to make decisions that apply to everyone (even if many disagree) in order to, supposedly, make their society function better.

We are having real trouble getting to the point. I reject that I have to love government to tell what I think about a given situation in our country at this time under the rules as they exist now.

Does a democracy have an "right" to exist? For example, if there were 100 people on an island and they all decided to have a democracy then it is legitimate for those 100 people. But wait; by 3 centuries later there are 4,000,000 citizens who never agreed to the bargain. (OK, a big island) Are they all bound by the decision of the 100?

However, it would take a lot longer than I intend to use today to explain how property rights (I own myself) leads to the full scope of human rights as we see them today. But, you could read some of Hans-Hermann Hoppe work. He may be the leading intellectual of the Anarco-capitalist stripe.

    http://www.lewrockwell.com/hoppe/hoppe-arch.html

The short answer is that the individual's birth-right entitles him/her to certain "rights" that the majority may not justifiably take away by the ballot box. Clear? (note: they can take away your rights by force; but not justifiably so)

PS: Democracy: The God that Failed is a Hoppe book that explains that democracy does not necessarily lead to "the most good for the most people".

  • LWM: Clearly, you are in the wrong place...

...Hoppe believes that a monarchy is a superior form of government to any democracy.

More codswallop from fools. You read the book, and that's all you got from it?

    Try this:

    http://www.lewrockwell.com/hoppe/hoppe12.html

it is only a page long and you might actually read it.

Are you really one of the "honored regulars" that someone fawned over? I did not realise that foolishness was the only requirement.

(note: as I wrote before, I just hit them back in kind)
