The Power of Prayers

"Absolutely," Bush said. "I feel it ... Because the load is not heavy, I guess is the best way to describe it. Look, somebody said to me, 'Prove it.' I said, 'You can't prove it. All I can tell you is I feel it.' And it's a remarkable country when millions pray for me and Laura. So therefore I am able to say to people that this is a joyful experience. Not a painful experience. And yeah it's tough, but that's OK. It's tough times. And there's a lot of big issues ...

Good grief! Anyone needs any more proof that Bush has completely checked out? He IS deranged.

Rudy the Authoritarian

Excellent piece on the real Rudy Giuliani!

As a New Yorker, I wholeheartedly agree. While Giuliani was at first well regarded because he "cleaned up" the city, his arrogance, his excesses, his temper, his intolerance, and his malicious vindictiveness against all critics small and large, soon made him more and more unpopular.

New Yorkers have not forgotten the Diallo and Dorismond killings, and the revolting responses of Giuliani. Nor have they forgotten that totally disgraceful press conference where Giuliani announced is intention of divorcing Donna Holland -- before he informed her of the fact. That very day, I decided that Giuliani was not merely callous and ill-bred, he was deranged.

In his second term, Giuliani was perceived by most New Yorkers as a choleric, secretive, hubristic, vindictive, little dictator.

On 9/11, he was New York's mayor, and of course, he was right in the camera lights. I never understood why people elevated him to hero status. He did his job, for which he was being paid. Nothing heroic there.

Rudy Giuliani is a very dangerous man. Compared to him, Bush is mild-mannered, tolerant, and open. Elect Giuliani to the presidency, and you'll soon have a full-blown dictatorship complete with death squads and disappearances.

Exit Bolton

Good riddance! However, I wonder what incompetent bully the Chimp will put up next for nomination?

Ignorant, misleading or just not capable

All of the above. And it applies to both puppet and master.

"Civil War"

We can all breathe a sigh of relief. The powers-that-be are now allowing the "free" American press to use the "civil war" terminology.

What's Wrong with These People?

McCain and Rice among the top five?

America is doomed. We are a nation of uninformed morons. It is now official.

Unbridled Evil

Limbaugh, Coulter, Hannity, Beck and Savage are rabid hyenas. Were they labeled "animals" they would have been shot a long time ago.

Unfortunately, some people insist that these noxious creatures are human.

Let us figure out a way that this stinking rot that these abominable creatures are can be thrown out of public life.

Cheney is Public Enemy No. 1

When are we going to be rid of this abomination called Cheney? This monstruous creature is the biggest threat ever to democracy and the Republic. As such, he should be labeled "enemy combattant", shipped off to Guantanamo, and duly waterboarded.

Bush the Torturer

What Bush wants is a repeal of the War Crimes Act, and he wants it in a hurry now that it looks like the Democrats are about to regain a majority. He is mortally afraid that he and his henchmen will be indicted for war crimes.

They will, in time. Just look at Chile: twenty some odd years after the facts, the current government is going after the psychopathic criminals who "disappeared" and tortured and killed thousands of their citizens. BushCo will follow the same pattern.

Torture results

"He said, as people will, anything to make the pain stop."

Indeed, were I tortured, I would admit to being Bin Laden in drags. Heck! I would probably admit to sinking the Titanic! And of causing single-handedly the 1929 crash!

The Hypothetical Question Bush DID Answer

He did answer the question: "My reaction is that, if the nations such as those you named adopted the standards within the [White House's] Detainee Detention Act, the world would be better," he said.

It is apparently O.K. with him if U.S. military or intelligence personnel are captured, tortured, put on trial without access to evidence, and sentenced to death.

Lieberman is a Sorry Loser

Lieberman is pathetic. He was defeated in Democratically - held elections. The Democratic voters told him to take a hike.

He responded by telling them that he is the only one who knows how to defend CT voters hence he had to run as an independent. In other words, he patronized CT voters and insulted their intelligence. Joe Lieberman is the perfect example of power-gone-mad.

Thanks but No Thanks, John

Thank you, John.

You did not kick their ass when it mattered. As a result, we have to live with a Vice - President and a Secretary of Defense who are psychotic monsters and a delusional, Messianic, sociopathic, President.

Thank you so much for letting the criminally insane run the asylum.

Colin Powell's newfound conscience

"...beginning to doubt the moral basis of our fight against terrorism." Beginning? Wake up, Colin, the rest of the world views the U.S. as a rogue state.

Had Colin Powell demonstrated one iota of integrity, he would not have gone to the U.N. and knowingly lied about Iraq's purported WMDs. That would have gone a long way to help the world NOT doubt the moral basis of the fight against terrorism.

Thank you, Colin. You are three and a half years late and $300 billion short.

Is it time to leave??

In my darkest moments, Waydot, I feel just like you do. I have given myself a deadline: November 8. If the Democrats do not at least regain the House, I am out of here. Maybe I am paranoid, but these people scare the hell out of me.

Silver Lining

There is a silver lining to this nonsense. BushCo will immediately use its expanded spying powers to spy on political opponents. The Bush administration, being what it is, however, will also prove abysmally incompetent at it, will be found out, exposed, and thrown out with the garbage.

Nixon got caught. He was not an imbecile, nor was his entourage.

This clown is an imbecile; his henchmen are so high on power that they are delusional, and their enforcers are crassly incompetent.
