You Want Trust? Provide Analysis and Name Your Sources!
[Read the article: National journalists believe you should trust them]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"...do you have sufficient faith in the judgment and integrity of ABC News to rely blindly on its assessments, made in secret, about who is and is not credible when it comes to claims that could contribute to spawning a new war against Iran?"
An emphatic NO, for all the reasons you cite in your article. For the past six years, the press -- with a few stellar exceptions (not at ABC) -- has done nothing but robotically repeat the WH's talking points. For whatever reason, most journalists have regressed to being mere stenographers.
Note to ABC: the revoltingly innacurate and insulting "Path to 9/11" did not help your reputation.
So, no, I do not trust the U.S. press. And I am amazed at the arrogance of national journalists who insist on being taken on faith.

Goodling is Finally Off The Public Trough
[Read the article: Report: Gonzales aide resigns]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]God must have spoken to her on this Good Friday and told her that being a burden on the taxpayer was no longer a good idea.
As the British say: good riddance to bad rubbish!
-
Ignoring the Polls
[Read the article: Want change in Iraq? You've already got it]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]No one in this WH has any intention of accomodating the will of the people. They discard or willfully misinterpret the polls. Let them keep at it. They are just screwing the final nails into their coffins. As for Perino, she is a WH spokesperson. That says a lot about her credibility.

Kindergarten
[Read the article: In other words]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Someone please send this five-year-old in a tie back to Crawford wher he can play with his toy soldiers, his LEGO blocks, and scrub a little brush.
-
The Alzheimer's Express
[Read the article: Is there traction control on the Straight Talk Express?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]McCain ignored the huge demonstration against the U.S. occupier as well as the aggressive stance of Al-Sadr.
Either he is bordering on senile dementia, or he firmly believes that the aversge American's IQ is below 100. None of the above qualifies him for the presidency.
-
Not Meeting with the President
[Read the article: A meeting with the president]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]As if this President had any intention oof bridging gaps... Jjust witness the WH hysteria about Pelosi's trip to the Middle East...
At this point, George BOTCH has zero credibility, and should be treated for waht he is: an irrelevant, dangerous, bubble-head.

Snooze
[Read the article: In other words]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]We have heard it all before.
-
Goodling's Wishes
[Read the article: Quote of the Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Too bad that Miss Goody-Two-Shoes got sidetracked stabbing people in the back for her own advancement and possibly breaking laws as she mistook Bush for God...
-
Goodling's "Law School"
[Read the article: Quote of the Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]She dropped out of American University's Law School more than likely because she could not cut it there. Regent is #136 on the list of law schools of US News and World Report, under the category "fourth tier" law school. The #136 is actually very close to their "fifth tier law school" rating. As for her "Messiah College", it ranks an abysmal fifth-tier college.
In other words, Goodling is poorly educated and had no business being in a high position at Justice. Her only real qualifications were that she was a Bush cultist and a Bible-thumper.

Paglia is a Con Woman
[Read the article: Real inconvenient truths]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]When will you please realize that Paglia is a con job? Her writing is self-inflating, and it is actually painful to read because of her bad syntax and grammar and poorly researched subjects.
In this day and age, she would never get tenure at a prestigious university such as Princeton.
She is a fraud, and a bad one at that. Moreover, her writings are excruciatingly boring...

Imus the Doofus
[Read the article: Play ball!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I totally disagree with the firing of Imus, on Free Speech grounds. He is an idiot whose trademark is to insult and demean every possible group -- women, blacks, gays, Asians, Anerican indians, etc...
His remarks about the Rutgers basketball team were crude, offensive, and gratuitous. Imus is a major league asshole. He is also perfectly ridiculous. At his age, going on like an obnoxious teenager is downright pathetic. But no one is forcing any one to either listen to his stupid talk show or to watch him on TV. Just as no one is forcing people to listen to a slimebag like Limbaugh. Where is the outrage about Limbaugh? Ann Coulter? Glenn Beck?
Let the moron keep on making a fool of himself.

Just another day in Baghdad: 157 dead
[Read the article: Mama said there'd be days like this]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Tell that to the families of the 157 people who perished in the latest attack, Dana!
-
I Did Not Do It!
[Read the article: Alberto Gonzales testifies]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Shorter Gonzales: "I don't recall and anyway, it's all Kyle Sampson's fault."
-
Desperate DeLay
[Read the article: Quote of the Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]DeLay is desperate for attention. His ridiculous book is not selling and his former friends in the GOP are staying clear of him. What a pathetic jerk! If I did not know how profoundly crooked and amoral this man is, I would almost feel sorry for him.
-
Mad King George
[Read the article: Right message, wrong response]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It is official. Bush is mentally ill. He is suffering from serious delusions. It is now time to call the men in the white coats to take him away to an institution where he won't be able to be a danger to others any longer. This is truly the reign of Mad King George.
-
Too Timid Dems
[Read the article: And now, a message from the people]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]How long are the Dems going to be timid?
Bush's approval ratings have been in the toilet for the past year. The Republicans are obviously squirming and do not want the Iraq albatross around their neck in the next election.
it is high time to be agressive. The Democrats have the upper hand; they need to use it. Now!

Hume is a Paid Propagandist
[Read the article: Brit Hume is a "journalist"; Keith Olbermann is "partisan"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Brit Hume is a journalist? Maybe in Putin's Russia. Or at Fox "News." Hume is an agent for the propaganda that comes out of the Rove's and Cheney's WH and the RNC.
Olbermann has the nerve to question the powers that be. The fact that his show has high ratings demonstrates that people appreciate well thought out criticism of the government's policies. In a democracy, debates and dissenting opinions are healthy. In the sick totalitarian world of the WH, most of the MSM and the propagandists like Fox, of course, debates and dissenting opinions equate treason. Maybe we should ship all these people to Russia....
