JD investigating the leak about illegal spying

This is really great! Big Brother is now investigating the leak about spying ordered by the President in violation of the law of the land and of the Constitution (that "goddam piece of paper"). That is rich indeed!

Is anyone in the spineless media going to point out that GWB swore to get rid of anyone involved in the Plame outing? Only to flip-flop when it became apparent that Karl Rove was involved up to his neck? When is the MSM going to expose the hypocrisy and the double standards? Where are the questions?

When is the MSM going to wake up to the fact that that we are in a situation akin to the McCarthy era? "If you do not agree with us, you are for the terrorists"? How long are intelligent people going to tolerate this Manichean view of the world?

Is anyone awake out there, or are the MSM members too busy shopping?

The smell of honesty and integrity

"Once upon a time, much ink was spilled and much political warfare was waged over the question of whether or not a certain president lied about getting a blow job. Today's new, improved model of president lies about torture and the secret surveillance of American citizens. That's quite the upgrade."

Well, he did restore "honor and integrity" to the White House, did he not? There has not been a whiff of sex scandal around the White House in five years.

Of course, some people whose nose is ultra-sensitive, will point to the stench of torture, rendition, secret prisons, and other unsavory practices, that emanates from the White House and the Administration. But again, some people are just too delicate for their own good.

Christmas 2006 wish list

Bush impeached.

Karl Rove, Libby, and DeLay, convicted to long prison terms.

Rumsfeld in the throes of senility and incontinence.

Cheney dead of a heart attack. There, I said it. I won't take it back either.

Abramoff is out, but the Justice Department is watching over the Republicans' interests

Given that the DOJ is chock-full of Bush political appointees at the highest levels, one wonders whether we will ever know about the magnitude of the scandals, and whether anyone of any importance will ever go to trial.

The judicial system is so rotten and corrupt by politics that it is hard to believe that investigations will result into any indictments and convictions of corrupt Republicans. The powers-that-be in the JD are all Bush toadies. They will do anything in their power (including breaking the law -- they have done it before without suffering any consequences --) to save as many Republican sorry asses as they can.

I am not optimistic.

One would think that the American public would be up in arms about this violation of public trust and misuse of taxpayer's money. But, no, it seems that most of the population is too happy increasing their credit cards' debt, and enjoying relatively lower gas prices for their gas-guzzling SUVs, to react to anything.

I am really depressed by this state of affairs.

Oily seats

Is Congress -- i.e. -- the taxpayer -- paying for the dry-cleaning of these guys'suits?

I object strenuously to paying the bill for cleaning up oil from these Congressmen suits!

The church that allowed this oily mess is responsible for the dry-cleaning bill.

And while we are at it, let's investigate how they broke their own non-profit status, by mixing up preaching with politics.

Of course, the IRS, just like every agency in the land, is dominated by Bush appointees, whether they are capable or not. So, the IRS is not about to investigate pro-Bush churches.

The Republicans are crooks. The Democrats are wimps. Who is going to save us from dictatorship?

The U.S.A. is now a police state.

Alito runs from his record

So, he is lying through his teeth. The trouble is, if he is confirmed, no one will hold him accountable for his lies when they become obvious.

The only solution is for the Democrats to filibuster him. I am not holding my breath.

Mrs Alito's case of the weepies

Mrs Alito's teary departure from the hearings room was an exercise in melodrama and emotional blackmail. It worked. The media morons all jumped on it.

If the woman cannot behave herself with the appropriate decorum, she should stay home instead of making a spectacle of herself.

My lunch with an antifeminist pundit

why does this woman think she is speaking for all women? Who gave her the divine insight into women's brains?

Let's ignore her instead of giving her publicity.

The Post's ombudsman cannot stand the heat

The WP has now joined the NYT. Both newspapers have become useless rags that glorify the Bush administration.

Reporters at both these so-called bastions of enlightement have become puppets at the service of Bush Co.

The NYT refused to inform the public a year ago about the illegal spying on American citizens and residents. By doing so, they effectively condoned this gross violation of our civil rights. Yet, they went along with the WH.

Had the NYT owners and editors of the NYT had any guts, they would have broken the story before the 2004 elections. And, maybe, this global menace of a President would not have been elected (Remember, he was NEVER elected; he was put on the throne by the Supreme Court in 2000).

The WP is not blameless either. They knew about the illegal spying, and kept it off the front pages too.

So much for the so-called "liberal" media. Both the NYT and the WP have become docile shills for an administration that has succeeded in terrorizing them into obedience.

It is really great that the Bush administration is trying to spread freedom abroad while shutting up dissent at home. His AWOLness must have taken a leaf from the President of Uzbekistan.

Watch for those black helicopters landing in your neighborhood!
