Lieberman Needs To Go

"I'm worried that too many people, both in politics and out, don't appreciate the seriousness of the threat to American security and the evil of the enemy that faces us - more evil or as evil as Nazism and probably more dangerous that the Soviet Communists we fought during the long Cold War," Lieberman said.

"If we just pick up like Ned Lamont wants us to do, get out by a date certain, it will be taken as a tremendous victory by the same people who wanted to blow up these planes in this plot hatched in England. It will strengthen them and they will strike again."

So now Lieberman is accusing anyone who voted against him of giving aid and comfort to a greater evil than the Nazis and a greater menace than Stalin?

For this alone, Lieberman should be pilloried. I don't care if he voted in step with the Democratic party 90% of the time in the past.

Lieberman's decision to run as an independent is an affront to the democratic CT voters who clearly rejected him, and an affront to the Democratic process.

Anyway, Lieberman's campaign is all about Lieberman. He is a sore, vicious, and vindictive, loser. He behaves as if he were a Peer of the Kingdom of CT, anointed for life.

I just wrote to Hilary Clinton and Harry Reid, asking them to push the Democratic leadership to remove Lieberman from committees. He is no longer a Democrat. He does not belong in the party. We don't need another Zell Miller who will work actively to undermine the Democratic party.

The race will be close. That is why people need to mobilize to help Lamont. If Lieberman keeps his seat, he will continue to support the disastrous and demented policies of the Bush administration. Who knows? The little weasel might even switch party after he is reelected.

Get a Grip, Xanthro

I am a social liberal and a fiscal conservative. Hardly the combination that produces far-left thinking a la Marx, Mao, and Lenin. These days, anyone who disagrees with Bush and his henchmen is automatically labelled "far-left". That is black & white thinking, therefore, stupid.

Lieberman is a Republican in Democratic clothing. The Democratic party does not need a traitor in its ranks.

The race will likely be close. At least, that is how it looks at the moment. Three months ago, Lamont trailed far behind Lieberman. On August 8, Lamont won the Democratic party's nomination.

Unaffiliated CT voters have been registering in droves as Democrats in the past few weeks. That trend is likely to accelerate as more and more moderate CT voters turn away from Lieberman in disgust over his love affair with the GOP and Bush.

Lieberman is now associated closely with Cheney and Rove. He has been praised by the likes of Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and assorted right-wing crackpots. Some right-wing Veteran group is campaigning for Lieberman. Lieberman is getting contributions from GOP donors. Lieberman employs GOP fundraisers. If you think that this is going to help Lieberman with moderate CT voters, you are hallucinating.

Lieberman is running a GOP-like campaign as a fake Democrat in a Blue state. He is headed for political suicide. And, I might add, not a minute too soon.

Camus

Bush is reading Camus? The moron could not even pronounce the word "existentialism", let alone spell it.

Xanthro

Xanthro is a Bush troll. Just read his posts on other topics.

I made the mistake of entertaining him once. No more.

He is trying to hijack the thread. Let's ignore him. He'll get tired and go spew his tripe on other blogs.

Bush is said to be "puzzled" that Iraqi citizens don't appreciate his war.

Just in case we needed any more proof that The Decider lives in La - La- Land.

I firmly believe that he is pathologically deranged. Either that, or he is on large doses of Xanax 24/7.

Lieberman

Lieberman's campaign is all about Lieberman's ego.

The weasel thinks nothing about being bankrolled by the GOP and its "Veterans for Freedom" group (Swiftboat reincarnated). He is a revolting opportunist.

If he wins the election, he must be stripped of his seniority on Democratic committees. If the Democratic leadership keeps that piece of garbage on its committees, then it will be clear that we need a third party in this country.

Hatch

Orrin Hatch is a piece of crap. Always was, always will be.

His performance during the Thomas hearings -- his horrendous attacks against Anita Hill -- was nothing short of disgraceful, racist, bigoted, and revolting. Hatch is your typical piece of GOP slime.

Liebersleaze

Lieberman is not just the de facto Republican candidate in CT, he is the candidate of the most revolting crew in the GOP: the Cheney / Rove gang.

He is running a vicious campaign straight out of the Rove Handbook of Dirty Politics, complete with race - baiting and accusations that a vote for Lamont is a vote for the terrorists.

Lieberman is a sleazebag, a right-wing extremist, and a sore loser. He has turned himself into a Cheney whore to cling to his seat.

To all of you, Bush zombies on this blog, go to hell. Lieberman is a piece of crap.
