@winsmith: I don't think your focus on common sense connections will somehow wean these wunnerful pwogwessives from their libral fairy tales, do you?

Common sense just doesn't matter, if Glennn wants to refer to it as "Israel's war on Gaza," then that's what it is, because saying it's so makes it so.

Common sense might give one some pause, common sense might see that Israel left Gaza intact, and, instead of building a civil society, Gazans destroyed the green houses left behind as if anything built by the hated Jews must at once be destroyed. Common sense would ask, what was Israel to do after years of intensifying rocket attacks from Gaza? Instead of practical answers, the purveyors of libral fairy tales stubbornly insist that Jews, unlike all other people, should never ever engage in self defense.

Context does not matter either, when you are Glennn and his little troop members. They don't care that Israel was assaulted from all sides a few minutes after her birth in 1948. It doesn't matter. None of the wars which her neighbors started matters. It does not matter that these wars were intended to obliterate Israel. It does not matter that Israel won control of "the occupied territories" in 1967 as the result of battles which Israel won in a war The Arab League started with the intention of driving all the Jews into the sea. It does not matter that Israel had been only a few miles wide down the middle before the west bank was won in a defensive war against invaders which took many Israeli lives. Common sense would argue that, given her enemies' intentions, Israel must hold on to high ground won with Israeli blood. Common sense would argue that this land should be held until the Palestinians stopped teaching their children that Jews are animals who must be killed.

In the world of libral make believe, Israelis should not remember what happened to their grandparents in Europe when they were passive. They should not remember the '72 Olympics when her athletes were slaughtered. Americans understandably remember Pearl Harbor, but Israelis should not remember the Yom Kippur War in '73 when they were again almost overrun and destroyed.

No, winsmith, these people are right, and, no, they are not anti semites, they do not hate Jews. Just look at Glennn. He refuses to explain the reasons he and other left wing Jews insist on ignoring the common sense connections which make it imperative for Israelis to survive through strength and not entrust their fate to the kindness of strangers, since so many of the strangers are so quick to denounce them. He does not hate Jews, but he cannot explain why he focuses so much of his work on giving suicidal advice to Israelis.

They do not hate Jews. They just think Israel should become some kind of la la land where people do not have to defend themselves against the tens of millions of people who are dead set on murdering them.

Just look at maureen0dingle, so proud of the Jewish Lord Mayor. She's just an odd bird who thinks Israelis should not have Russian accents. She knows that Israelis like Natan Sharansky should have stayed in Russia where they were treated so well. And, yes, she does not hate Jews. Nevermind she is no longer buying her daily jar of brandy at Marks and Spencer. She has discovered that chain is a tool of the worldwide Zionist conspiracy, she has.

@JonathanInTelAviv - note "the world's oldest hate," Marc Steyn's column a month ago regarding anti semitism.

So, what do you think will be next?

Do you think maureen0dingle will be quoting snippets from "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion"?

They still circulate that throughout the Moslem World, including some mosques in the USA.

And, @Calamite! Wake up. Wake up.

What does "rolling lenses on the floor in Greenwich Village" mean?

You are a nice fellow, and an honest one too, but you are mocked here night and day by the non antisemites who are not at all interested in honest discussion. They simply egg each other on like a little mob.

I also find it strange that Derlittle Looser and Gwennn Greenwald think people are trying to silence them, when their passionate hate resonates so well with so many. They become heroes to the haters who hold Israel and Jews to a different standard from any other nation, any other people.

One of them makes a living with his anti Israel Jewish obsession. He's a hero among left wingers, especially those left winger Jews who are so left winger that they eagerly buy all the left winger crap about oppressed and victimized Palestinians. Never mind their poverty is a direct result of their corrupt, decadent leaders and an ideology of hate stirred up by supposedly 'religious people.'

So Glennn has become a little hero on the left, like his mentor and friend Bill Moyers.

I gather Moyers was a very efficient aid to LBJ. I gather he was responsible for LBJ's and Herbert Hoover's dossiers regarding the sexual preferences of White House Staff. But that was then and this is now I guess, and now Moyers can primp and parade around as PBS' most celebrated sanctemoneous sermonizing hypocrite.

And the other one who objects to the observations that he must be self hating too?

It gives the other one something to do and something to post about fifty, a hundred times a day times a day. Who can explain? Too many motorcycle accidents without a helmet? It sure beats working for a living, I guess,
