Gosh

This must be some kind of self referential righteous lefty diehard site.

And I wasted all that money on a "Premium" membership.

Salon is where the intelligent mingle and challenge each other?

Here it has become a mutual admiration society, and now that Obama is clearly loosing, we now have a mutual bitch at each other society.

What if you are all wrong?

What if we have the greatest country the world has ever known?

What if all your nitpicking and fundamentally stupid collectivism needs to be tossed into a rubbish bin?

Do you really still think that redistribution works?

What kind of stupid people cling to a stupid concept like that?

Sometimes, I wonder about the denizens of this site. Are you all teenured university professors, retired social workers and retired New York City Public Schools Social Studies teachers?

For those of you who are not, why not get a life before you retire from a boring boring job?

Do something?

Get rich.

Climb a mountain.

Loose a lot of weight.

Teach an illiterate product of the Camden School District to read.

@Kitt

Look, take it from a real Vietnam Vet, just because you're cute, doesn't mean you know what you're talking about.

Anyways, what kind of feminist goes around calling herself "Kitt?"

Monday, September 8, 2008 08:08 PM

@Kitt

I don't care if you're a guy, "Kitt."

What kind of guy would want to go around calling himself "Kitt?" is not a thought that would enter my military mind, kid. I'm not interested in that anymore.

I've seen far more than guys called "Kitt."

It's just wonderful for me to see all you Hillary lovers and Obabaists going after each other like Turks and Armenians when the real problem is that both camps, although one is a little more pragmatic than the other, are way off base.

It seems strange that two people, Bawaka and Hill, both adored Saul Alinsky as they were coming upp, and it's interesting to see them follow Alinsky's main precept: the ends justify the means... as they destroy all the wonderful things we idealists accomplished in the 60's

Like, I bet you all were born with trust funds too.

This is why Michelle O asked, "Where is MY trust fund."

She went to Princeton and came to the conclusion that all white people got trust funds.

So, I was at the WalMart last Sunday and there was my cousin, Honkie, standing there in one of them ridiculous orange polyester vests greeting people at the door.

He looked real sheepish when he saw me coming.

So I said to him: "Cousin Honkie, what are you doing here at the local WalMart in that stupid orange polyester vest?

"You didn't go and squander your trust fund, did you?"

My Mum, Grams and daughters know. *

They know what real feminism is all about.

Why do you think Sarah Conner is so inspiring?

What about all the gals piloting Apaches in Iraq?

What about Israel's first gal fighter pilot?

Can't you see why Rosie The Riveter will vote for McCain-Palin?

If you are not elitist snobs, why are you getting so angry at me and calling me names, when so few of your ideas have any remote relationship to how the world works? You self-described progressives tell me what you know about the fundamentals of freedom and prosperity. Why do you back cynical politicians who pander to the worst human qualities - resentment, jealousy and something for nothing greed?

*(My Sweetie knows too.)

Chicago is my town now

Leon and Amy Kass were such popular professors at the U of C and so attractive a loving couple their students prevailed on them to teach a course which was over subscribed whenever they taught it - "What Makes A Happy Marriage." They were college sweethearts and risked their lives together as Mississippi Freedom Riders. My life has not been nearly as productive or asinfluential as their's. He told me he did not leave "The Movement," it left him.

Many many conservatives are still the idealists they were in the 60's. To be a 'progressive' today means you must be blind to all the corruption, incompetence and cynical power lust which has characterized Democrats since the late great JFK. You must ignore plain common sense whether it comes from a Sara Palin in Alaska or a Gary Becker at the U of C.

All of this outrage is ridiculous coming from.....

people who would use some rubbish called "The Fairness Act" to silence conservative talk radio.

No one forces anybody to listen to Michael Savage and Laura Ingraham (sp!) - but Nancy Pelosi, Babs Boxer et all would like to force the networks to disregard the market place of supply and demand and require them to broadcast opposing views whether or not those opposing views could attract enough listeners to make them economically viable.

If that isn't totalitarian mind control and state sponsored censorship, what is? And now you rail against GE for finally trying to do something about NBC's horrible ratings.

Those of you who are dinosaurs may rage, but the collectivist-redistribution song has become yesterday's bad memory. Not only doesn't it work, it has over and over again resulted in vast tragedies and human misery. It can only work for a while through force which causes mountains of tragedy and destruction. Europeans are finally figuring this out. Why can't you?

You could always just listen to NPR

and watch PBS (your tax dollars at work).

And, yes there is nothing such of The Fairness Doctrine. If you cannot beat them conservatives, well then you've just gotta silence 'em, while dishing out fog banks of rhetoric.

And "mister retired military patriot." My sarge always warned me never to trust anyone who calls himself 'retired military patriot.' Don't be a smuck, change your name. How about 'blowhard?'

Look at what has been happening in Canada with one of the world's funniest and most astute commentators, Marc Steyn.

This is why so much of this NBC nonsense rings untrue. Get some new bells, boyz and girlz.
