Why do "neocons" provoke so much leftoid hatred? Why should a little independent, critical thought inspire so much horror and fury?

Well, most neocons are Jewish. So, the leftoids, especially the many Jewish ones, get furious and say they are definitely not anti-semites, they say that THEY are just not card carrying members of the pro Israel lobby. Never mind this places them between the sheets with Pat Buchanon. Jewish liberals think that Jewish conservatives must be religious fanatics: the Orthadox with 10 kids per family. When thoughtful, secular Jews depart from the liberal plantation, they must be some kind of evil sell outs, right? Has it ever been true that any prominent neo-cons believe that Israel is perfect? I think it just maddens the left when they point out that the left holds Israel to an impossibe double standard.

Neo-conservative accurately describes people who were once your fellow progressives, like Charles Krauthammer who worked in the JFK Administration, or Leon Kass, who, along with his wife of 50 years, was a Mississippi Freedom Rider. David Brooks was once your typical young and brash University of Chicago liberal grad student. He agreed to debate Milton Friedman and that was that. He noticed that the famous economist lacked fangs: Brooks discovered that Friedman's life work was essentially liberal and humanistic, and made far more sense than all the left wing truisms he used to embrace.

How could so many intelligent humanists (those who want the very best for all of us humans) have changed their minds and set out on a different path? Did their analysis of history and their own life experiences place them on the journey, or was it just some spiteful meanness which forced them to question and move away from liberal orthodoxy?

Is it just more comfortable to dismiss these people than to look at the world with fresh eyes and an open mind?

What would it take for you to change your mind? In this self referential Saloon, don't any of you ever want to question your long held beliefs? Have you ever considered the very brief and very provocative "The Road To Serfdom" by Friedrich Von Hayek? Or is it just far more comfortable to spew hatred at intelligent people who differ with you?

What about the unintended consequences of good intentions?

How much corruption and government waste can you stand?

Do you like what happened to the Civil Rights Movement? Do you like Jesse and Al and Maxine, and do you think Barrack will change all that? Do you still agree with racial quotas?

Is there or is there not a looming showdown with the Islamic Fundamentalists? Will they just go away?

Don't you think that Saddam was a menace with his rape rooms and gassing of entire Kurdish villages and mass Shia graves? How could we have tolerated him in a post 9/11 world?

Can we really tax our way to prosperity for all?

How much value to you place on freedom? Won't we be giving up much of our freedom as government grows ever more powerful?

Sorry, Glenn, you are not worthy of holding Marc Steyn's jockstrap, so to speak.

Now you are nitpicking about the choices a fantastic wordsmith makes in his very intelligent and telling commentary on your never-ending jihad against any free inquiry regarding who this Obama person might really be.

I have yet to hear from the many hipster Jewish denizens and leaders of The Saloon about Obama's 20 year close association with Jerimiah Wright? Or, is it racist to bring up Rev. Wright?

Just as it is so egregious to call Obama a modern day Pasha?

You represent the politically correct word police, Mister Greenwald. The next thing people like you will do is to try police thought by restricting the media. How about using some "Fairness Doctrine," how about silencing talk radio?

You and your fellow Salooniks are just a propaganda machine.

There is no free discussion of ideas here.

You simply paint yourselves as the righteous and virtuous ones, and, anyone who disagrees with you is evil.

You fret about fundamentalists while you yourselves are fundamentalists in the extreme.

Obamabot Propaganda Central: the Saloon 24/7 Noise Machine?

You'd think that, after so many years of Bush and high Republican numbers in Congress, that every Family Planning clinic would be shuttered by now.

If our markets have not yet helped you worry about some real looming problems, try to think for yourselves for just a minute.

Recently Canada tried to force unionization on Walmart, and Walmart decided to leave Canada.

Do you really want to disallow free trade? Do you like the prospect of trade wars like we had in the 30's? Do you want John Deere, Boeing, Apple, Cummings Engine, Pfizer, Caterpiller and Proctor & Gamble to have to cut back and fire hundreds of thousands of workers because we have no international markets left? Do you think the Chicago Democratic Machine would do a better job of running these companies? Do you want corrupt unions running our corporations?

Small businessmen are responsible for more new jobs than all the big corporations put together and Democrats are planning to punish the most successful. That would be great for prosperity and employment, right?

But, you folks are precious. Just keep obsessing about abortion, ladies.

Abortion rights is the most important thing in the world.

Original article: Condi Rice on Obama

Joan: Is this just your typical patronizing liberal crap?

Or, is it full fledged Stalinist vilification?

How dare Rice take a different path from yours, is that what you think?

While you are taking your victory lap, did it occur to you to be gracious?

Why are you such an angry witch?
