I'm torn on this. . .

Brightstar, can I just say that you always bring a smile to this scurvy feminists face. I'm sure your are not being intentionally hilarious, but when amid the predictable discussion you pop up feeling earnestly torn on the question of whether rape is wrong, I can't help but laugh.

But seriously, though, consider for a moment that you're turned on by a woman, your wife, even, but you're not in the mood to have a large dildo up your bum, and she goes on ahead and puts it there, anyway, against your wishes. Sure, you like having sex with women, but that would probably still be unpleasant for you, at the very least. Can you see what I'm getting at, here?

Dick I have hope for you

There really is someone out there for even the more crazy and deranged of us. You might never find him or her if you keep holing up in the titty bars, though.

Where would you like to start

Brightstar? Are you a member of a Men's Rights organization that you think would partner with feminists to achieve common goals?

Thursday, April 3, 2008 02:15 PM

OK, now I know you're just pretending

The CIA is funding Gloria Steinem!?!?!?! Clearly you are just pretending to be crazy for laughs. Nobody seriously believes that.

I agree that having someone you know and trust hurt you physically and emotionally is probably even worse, in terms of the trust betrayed, than being the victim of a stranger.

Nice

"It's the woman's fault she got called a whore." Where have I heard that kind of logic before?

Clinton putting her chances of winning above the party

"Once one of us has the nomination there will be a great effort to unify the Democratic party and we will do so, because, remember I have a lot of supporters who I would expect them to support Senator Obama if he were the nominee," Quote from Clinton.

Interesting

to note that nobody got worked up about Hillary when she was just a Democratic Senator from NY. But she gets all uppity and tries to run for President, giving a nice man who really should win the nomination some competition, and all of a sudden she's a whoreandihateher.

Friday, April 4, 2008 10:21 AM

Obama and Hillary

are both good. Maybe those who HATE either one should form their own hateful splinter group and quit making open-minded Democrats look bad.

What the heck happened to you?

This is a fascinating question, and one which I have asked myself and BS (*sniff* *sniff* why don't you return my e-mails? Are you not at that Yahoo account, anymore?)

Our friend has left a trail of personal, online comments a mile wide, however, so if his circuitous reply doesn't satisfy you, try googling "brightstar65." The results - well, see for yourself.

Porn / sex . . .

Sex is a part of many healthy people's lives - when it's the defining characteristic or the driving force, something is out of balance.

Our cultural obsession with porn seems symptomatic of an unhealthy balance.

And let me tell you, every time I take home my paycheck of .80 cents to the man's dollar I think to myself, "Damn, if only women hadn't oppressed men so much that we caused ourselves all this injustice. Damn. Parson Jim is SO right . . ."

Do you think

I could get a good price for mine if it's only been used a few times???

That school board is doing the kid a favor

It is just excruciating to see kids dress "goth." And the ones who mature past the emotional age of 13 will be embarrassed for themselves in retrospect.

Attention Whore

Sounds like somebody is a sleep-with-a-count-for-money-and-status whore AND an attention whore. I am not surprised.

What she said was

that "I believe that women certainly today have every opportunity that a man has to succeed."

At least women currently have the opportunity to go to college or play professional basketball, but that could certainly change if birth control is restricted and abortion outlawed saddling women with unwanted pregnancies, like a certain someone I can think of would like to do . . .

Sarah - are you trying to be the Moe of Broadsheet?

I can't help but notice that you mention drinking in a lot of your posts (ahem wink, wink ahem)and you sound a lot like Moe Obama-makes-my-panties-wet over at Jezebel. Please don't do that. Thank you.

What!?!?!?

I thoroughly expected someone to come out saying "wage gap? what wage gap?" but "maybe there's a wage gap because women get so much more in social services"!!?!?!?!? Are you kidding me? Also, can you cite anything even remotely credible to back that crazy ass statement up?

Dick, I bet you could win the nobel prize for physics or something if you took all that energy you focus on your dick and channeled it into something else.

Nice post Sarah

The anti that's-so-gay PSA with Wanda Sykes sounds really funny, too.

FYI, PJ, you have the freedom to say asinine things, the PSA isn't going to take you away in the night for doing so. It's just pointing out that you're thoughtless and rude when you do so.

Excuse me, Lynn

Via Echidne Oct. 1,

Non-college-educated white women split virtually evenly, 46%-45% for McCain. By contrast, Obama remains weak among white men. That group supports McCain 57%-36% overall, and non-college-educated white men back the Republican ticket by an even greater margin, 63%-27%.

Now look at those enormous advantages for McCain among white men! How many articles have you read about this phenomenon? As compared to, say, all those articles about whether women will go for McCain because of Palin?

They would be prehistory

if it wasn't so popular to flog Hillary supporters, STILL.
