Oh god! That's pretty bad. I guess Bill O'Reilly is going to send one of his twit producers out to stalk Reynolds and confront him about linking to that. O'Reilly is sure to say that Reynolds is a reincarnated Nazi just like he's said about Arianna Huffington.

Sean Hannity will no doubt devote the next 27 episodes of THE SEAN Hannity SHOW (aka Hannity & Colmes) to the racist extremism of Reynolds.

Howard Kurtz will devote a Washington Post column wondering why the media has picked up on this story.

Then the other news venues will run repeated stories about this, running the comments from that post over and over again, endlessly speculating about the damage they've done to the GOP.

Right? That's gonna happen, like it always does, right?

Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America.

Fair enough. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation. White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to.

This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. And among them are these:

First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known.

Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American.

Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the '60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream.

Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks - with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas -- to advance black applicants over white applicants.

And don't kid yourself ... that is the exact sort of sentiment you will find at Stormfront if you have the stomach to wade through that site.

If they were going to have a genuinely nuanced discussion I beleive Packer would have a place, however, given that he is the author of one of the definitive books on what went wrong in Iraq.

But critics such as the aforementioned Chomsky (from the left) and Andrew Bacevitch (from the right) should have been included.

And it really is perverse how normal it is for the Bill Kristols of America to appear all over the place but the people that actually would "balance" them are treated like some kind of quarantined deadly virus or something ... instead of putting Kristol on air with some "democratic strategist" how about putting him on with Howard Zinn.

I'm not sure it can be emphasized enough just how rotten Limbaugh is. He's systematically dishonest (to this day I haven't been able to randomly tune into his show and not hear untruth within 30 seconds) and he's a complete creep, regularly saying truely sickening things like his belief that opposition to apartheid in South Africa was a cynical ploy to get blacks to vote for Democrats and a communist plot while also subtly implying reverse racism in opposing apartheid.

When Slobodon Milosovic died Limbaugh speculated that Bill Clinton assasinated him. Can you imagine what kind of backlash there would be from the noise machine if some liberal pundit said something as comparably unhinged as that?
