then look at this

http://dneiwert.blogspot.com/2007/04/populism-malkin-style.html

That's Malkin's semi-creepy "John Doe" quasi vigilante movement to encourage citizens to be on the look out for "Islamofascists"*

And then look at this http://michellemalkin.com/archives/007352.htm

What does one say to that? Someone, after reading a Malkin column, was inspired to get "I will not submit" tatooed on his arm in arabic. In Malkin world, they really are living in this state of paranoid hysteria where they fear that at militant Muslims will be invading their homes and forcing them into servitude at any moment. It's like they've worked themselves into some kind of mass delusion where they've all transported themselves into a fanstasy world similar to that of the movie Red Dawn, but instead of expecting Communists to drop down in Colorado or wherever the movie was set they're expecting an immenent ivasion of "Islamofascists" and Mexican Requoncistas.

*"Islamofascist" is a slogan, and althought clerical "fascism" has resembles fascism in its fanatacism and mass political nature, it can't truely be fascism because fascism is born as a reaction to what is perceived to be failed liberal democracy.

and another thing

This all reminds me of the scenario in The Authoritarians where the authoritarians rand the computer simulation and ended blowing up the world.

You've got this Hostadter style paranoia rampant in the 30% of Bush supporting populace (and that's all that matters to the administration since they only hear people that say what they want to hear) that we're in the midst of a global war on par with the Allies fighting the Nazis, nevermind that terrorists are terrorists because they don't have the nation-state power to engage in world conquest armed conflicts.

But at the same time you see no fear whatsoever that the Republican party is taking cues from dominionists like James Dobson, D. James Kennedy, Tim LaHaye and the likes who want war (propably even nuclear war) in the Middle East because it will be swell for Jesus.

No, Malkin and O'Reilly and Hannity loves those folks. Those folks are good old America loving "traditionalists." They aren't phony America hating Jew hating S-Ps in disguise like Dhimmicrat Jimmy Carter.

I hope Glenn digs up more stuff like this. Its imperative that America get to see the rotted monstrous authoritarian face that animates this administration and this movement before the next election. Because come 08, when these folks lose the presidency (if they do) they are going to be sent into a frenzy beyond belief.

Oh and last night Hannity named Laurie David "Enemy of the Week" for getting into a verbal tussle with Karl Rove over global warming. Apparently she's now an enemy of the United States on par with the dictators( e.g. Chavez, Kim Jong Il, Castro, etc.) that share the left half of the screen when he does that segments

Malkin should team up with SANE

She can have her vigilante John Doe team added to the mailing list. Then they can go out and patrol for dangerous Islamofascists and start protecting the US from this imminent invasion John Wayne style. Hell, they won't even need to wear brown shirts or silver shirts or black shirts ... they can all just get that super eagle on steroids with "I will not submit" in arabic tatoo.

Won't that be great. Patriotism in action. Maybe they should tatoo the stars and stripes with a cross on the other arm.

Original article: Various items

Laurie David is Enemy of the Week

I think I mentioned this if the below thread. But Great American SEan Hannity named her Enemy of the Week last night. She's now joined the ranks of Kim Jong Il, Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, and Aminjahad.

Buying the War

I am in an extreme hurry otherwise I wouldn't do this without skimming to see if anyone already said it, but here is the link to Bill Moyers documentary that will air tonight

http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/index-flash.html

Moyers has been on the enemies list of the conservative movement ever since Nixon because he does precisely what Colbert mocked the Versailles press corps for not doing. it is for that very reason that he was driven off of Now by the revenge of the Nixonites during this adminsitration and its why Bill O'Reilly last night smeared Moyers as part of some nefarious far left George Soros conspiracy.

It might be worth adding the link to an update, since Moyers has been fighting this fight a long time and deserves all the support he can get.

1984

I've been saying that for a while now, someone should write a book that does for 1984 what Conason did for It Can't Happen Here.

This administration really is that bad.

"bald-faced lies"

For the sake of people who didn't see the bit Elephantman is referencing. Here's what happened.

O'Reilly sent out one of his produces to do one of his ambush stalker segments where they catch one of O'Reilly far left S-P Soros minions off guard and start asking him/her questions.

The questioner was asking questions to the effect of "why did you say O'Reilly was a venom attacker" blah blah blah. Then when Moyers would answer that that's not what he said (since it wasn't since the stalker questioner was taking his questions out of context and paraphrasing them and demanding Moeyers answers on the spot) O'reilly would cut to footage where Moyers would make a similar sounding point about Fox and O'Reilly denigrating the patriotism of anyone who questioned the invasion of Iraq.

Chalk this up to incident to #17689797978897 that Bill O'reilly in incapable of self-scrutiny and introspection. He absolutely goes insane when Media matters quotes him in context and what not, but he sees nothing wrong with his guerilla ambush attacks on his S-P enemies. I guess it makes since kinda, since O'Reilly is a "culture warrior" for him to behave like a warrior and not like a professional journalist.
