"I think Obama would like you to judge him for having been editor of the Harvard Law Review. That demonstrates intelligence. Palin's background as a beauty queen demonstrates a pretty face and big tits."
Nice sexist remark because well all know that all Palin has done. You folks reallycan't help yourself can you?
"A VP pick like Condi Rice or Christie Whitman would have been a slam dunk."
Hahahaha... uh huh.
"Picking Palin as a VP just reeks of pandering and desperation. McCain might as well launch an ad saying "See ladies? You all have vaginas ... and Palin has a vagina! I'm John McCain, and I love vagina." That's about as subtle as his VP choice."
More sexist nonsense. In reality, picking Palin has very little to no downside.
"The one who really scared me was Lieberman. So much for that."
OMG, I'm really really LMAO now. Lieberman sacred you? So much for your poltical acumen.
I see from the panicked reactions among some here that Osphere is worried about McCain's VP pick. As they should be. Palin's appearance today in Ohio was good. But, please go ahead and pretend that the Obama!? camp can diss someone else's experience (btw, you do realize you're making a POTUS vs VP comparison, right?) and keep hope alive that a minor investigation is going to turn into something big. It's good for a few laughs.
Agreed. Inspired pick by McCain. I'm surprised because I didn't think he had it in him. Palin shores up his base and his "maverick" issue (he picked someone as far outside of DC as possible). The, for lack of better words, "Hillary related stuff" is just a bonus for him. Alos, people talking about her lack of experience are missing a key point - executive experience. She was a mayor and now she's a govenor.
"Democrats are avoiding the discussion of radicalism and the assault on the Constitution because they have been complicit enablers of these excesses. GG has heroically detailed and exposed this over the past several years. Any indictment or attack on the Republicans will necessarily involves friendly fire on Pelosi, Reid, Biden and Obama. Its much more palatable to talk in slogans, generalities, trivialities and populist appeals. Alcoholic spouses rarely want to point the finger publicly. Also, why roll back the back the expanded executive powers now when they are on the verge of wielding it themselves?"
Ding, Ding, freakin' DING! Very well said Oruboros.
Actually, I think what you and NYDem08 are arguing about is besides the point. It's not a question of who was ahead in the polls when the states were moved up. It's a question of different roolz for different states. MI and Fl were punished for actions that other states, who moved up their primaries, were not punished for because apparently the roolz are the roolz except when they're not.
Stop playing the "victim". It's a pretty empty claim but, if it makes you feel better repeating it, that's okay but, I think your "Big Book" might be better comfort until it's time for your meeting. Until then stay out of bars and behave yourself.
"That's rich, coming from a guy who recently threatened to have his friends sexually assault my wife."
Oh stop it. You still pouting about the last time I spanked you? Putting aside your very suspect statement above, the truth of the matter was you started the smack talk but got upset when I smacked you back. Eh....
I think it's time for you to attend a meeting. You're getting more erratic than usual.
That was a nice twofer from you. While stupid as usual, it was sexist and homophobic. Congrats! Anyway, the "going to the bar..." line does explain a lot about you and puts your letters in perspective.
"That's right, your vote is exactly as important as mine or anyone else's. Only we don't visit Salon EVERY FREAKING DAY OF THE WEEK to tell the world who we play to not vote for. So please stop congratulating yourself, drama queen. We know you're not voting Obama and we still don't care."
That's why you visit Salon EVERY FREAKING DAY OF THE WEEK and have a hissy fit about her letters.
Though it won't happen, Hillary is so overwhelmingly the logical choice that to seriously suggest otherwise is laughable. An Obama/Clinton ticket would win going away. Though predictable, it is amusing to read the CDS impaired Obots here fumble for reasons that it shouldn't be her. The funniest one is that the Repubs would be "energized" by seeing her on the ticket. Uh huh. The Repbubs have been energized against the Clinton for 16 years and what has that gotten them? Two terms of Bill as POTUS and two terms of Hillary in the Senate. LOL.
"I'm merely pointing out that it's unfair to Senator Clinton - and potentially poisonous to her legacy and future prospects - to conflate the views of that peurile coterie of paranoiac headcases and self-deluded axe-grinders (the Darragh Murphys and Larry Johnsons of the world) with those she holds herself.
And if that foolish shoe happens to fit your foot, there's no reason for me or anyone else to hold it against Senator Clinton."
Who's conflating anything or holding against Clinton except for deranged Obots and their enablers in the media and netroots? Hillary's legacy and future prospects are quite fine and, despite your dubious implication, will not be affected by what the Obots think of the Pumas or vice versa.
