"KStone gets tired of talking about whether race is the only reason Obama is beating Hillary 90-10% right ... right after I post a link showing her likeability among African Americans has plummeted since last year. How convenient."
Hilarious. I'm just going to let that sit there for a second....
I notice how you keep trying to reframe my argument (in this case changing main reason to only reason) and it's kind of amateurish and lame. "Likability", huh? Yeah, as Obama became more viable, blacks "liked" Clinton less. What a remarkable coincidence.
I tell you what. You continue to tell me about black people, spout Obama talking points, engage in chattering class musings (apparently you don't what that means) and I'll continue to talk to, listen to and live amongst black people. It is strange that you have a problem with the fact that most blacks are voting for Obama primarily because of the first black symbolism when those blacks don't have a problem with it at all. I'll tell folks that you're offended and insulted on their behalf. They won't care at all, but hopefully, that will make you feel better.
In terms of the rest of the primaries, isn't Obama supposed to declare "Mission Accomplished" after the Ore. primary on may 20th? I guess it still matters to him. Well, at least the ones he's favored to win.
Enjoy the last word.
"At least you had the good sense to abandon one moronic argument before taking on another:"
Awww so cute, trying to bait me. lol. No, I didn't abandon anything. I simply didn't feel like talking to you about it anymore, and I won't after this, though it is amusing how you are trying to frame the matter. I guess playing to the crowd is your thing.
Anyway, we don't "disagree". I'm right and you are wrong. The funny thing is that most black people who vote for Obama will proudly affirm my sentiment. You hear it all over black media and in black churches, barbershops, beauty parlors and other meeting places. They are not busy trying to keep up an internet debate going and at this point neither am I, but hey, if you want to continue to engage in banal talking points and chattering class musings, feel free.
"There's no need to "pretend" WV and KY don't matter because they don't. If it makes you feel any better, Oregon won't matter either. The race has been decided and we're just running out the clock."
Then why are you pretending? It's simple. If they count toward the total(s), then they matter regardless of whether they will change the final outcome. Now, how you feel about that is between you and your shrink and it's not my problem.
"The only thing I've said about the WV and KY primaries is that they just don't matter. Obama could lose 100% of the vote in both states and he'd still be the nominee, so kvetching about whether Hillary could win there is pointless. This race is over."
Way to play the "lowering expectations" game. I guess all those people voting in WV today should just go home because MikeLP said their primary just doesn't matter.
In reality, of course it matters. You are just arrogantly trying to pretend that it doesn't because it's not likely to change the eventual outcome.
"That's no more simplistic than your infantile "blacks only vote for Obama cause he's black!" line of reasoning. With sophisticated analysis like that it's a wonder you're not on MSNBC ..."
You want another spanking from me? Stop whinning just because you don't like the fact that what I previously said is true. Fortunately, most blacks aren't interested in your condescending and patronizing, but mostly pitiful, defense of the very defensible deccision most of them are making in the voting booth.
You'd be better off with the rest of the loons here who are implying that the majority of the people in WV and KY are racist simply because Obama's going to get his butt kicked in those primaries.
...and KY will be racist next week. That explains it all. Of course.
Okay, I stand corrected about you being out of line. Do we really need to snark on Chelsea though? ; )
I beginning to think Bob Somerby has a point about why some men become comedians.
If that's the way you guys want to play it but I should let you know it's very transparent.
Our? You're the punster but bilhelm is out of line. Nice try at covering for him though.
Anyhow, I don't think that saying Clinton supporters are living in a fantasyland and are childish is a good way to ask for unity but that could just be me. You may be right. I guess we'll see how much unity you get with that approach.
Wow. Um, back away from the keyboard.... You're not serious are you? If so...wow....
Yes, insult them and then ask for unity. I'm sure that will work.
Chelsea's IS turning into a bit of a hottie. Good catch.
Because we all know that a Hispanic/Latino would never say bloody moron. ShawnWM is way out more often than not but....listen to yourselves.
Heh, that was kinda funny.
Gawd, Joan says she enjoys your humor and it goes to you head. What do I want from you? What a stupid response. I don't want anything from you and I don't care if you think I stand alone but if you want to contiune jiving.....have fun.
You're trying too hard to be clever and playing to the audience. I don't care if you think I stand alone. Again, so?
Right on cue. How dare Bill Clinton campaign for his wife! I guess "ginning up resentments" is the latest way to say race baiting. Very inventive.
