not even close

We may be nearing a depression but Andrew Leonard's article is not convincing. It is another left leaning attempt to blame republicans from Reagan to G.W. Bush for all our problems. Don't forget we had 8 years of Clinton who handed off a faltering ecconomy to Bush. It's hard to blame the government for our over spending. (credit card debt) 24% unemployment is a far cry from 4.8%. Stocks down 90% compared to around 12%. Let's not jump the gun and freak out, there will be plenty of hard times without claiming this is the sequel to the Great Depression ... yet.
