Don't forget that any election results could very well be the results of hacking; it's been proven possible many times. And if the official election results are untrustworthy, how much less trustworthy are any polls?

For all we know, the majority of americans may not be "stupid;" they're just being lied to on a constant basis by the ruling elite, and to a degree that most - even many of the truly intelligent - would find it very hard to believe or accept. After all, if we can't trust the polls or the elections, there're no legal solutions left. Everyone fears the necessity of revolution.

And now, after the last eight utterly disastrous years of obscene, Republican-led criminality, we're supposed to believe the polls when they tell us that Obama and McCain are "neck and neck" in an open and honest contest. Riiiiiiiight.

I know that 49.n % of my fellow citizens are below average in intelligence (and in every other way) by definition, but c'mon! This latest horse race is shaping up to be the most clearly phony one yet in a long, long string of increasingly transparent fakes.

What will it take to convince a critical number of us that the polls and the election voting results are GUARANTEED to be falsified? The financial elites win every race, and nothing changes beyond surface cosmetics as we slide ever closer to absolute enslavement of the human mind and spirit.

If voting could really change things it would be illegal; democracy in the USA today isn't just somewhat corrupt; it's now a total LIE.

Excellent article, but I have one correction: the limbic brain is not the reptillian but the mammillian; this is why it's associated with emotions. Mammals have warm-blooded emotions; cold-blooded reptillians don't.

Metaphorically, the GOP leaders are heartless reptiles keeping their mammillian followers like cattle.

The rest of us are more than mere reptillian or mammillan; we're human, with prefontal corteces capable of rational thought and therefore not helplessly subject to either the tyranny of our survival-oriented reptillian brains nor the tyranny of our emotional mammillian brains.

We all know the mainstream news is owned by right wing corporate financial elites, so why should we trust them when they say that McPalin is neck and neck with Obama/Biden? WHY?

If McPalin wins the White House won't reason DEMAND we consider that the entire election was a sham? Why are we still using the (proven hackable) Diebold evoting machines? WHY?

Why do almost all my favorite alternative news sources implicitly believe the election will be legitmate? WHY? Are we all afraid of the truth, that corporate fascism is ALREADY in control of our country and that peaceful means for true change may be totally impotent and passe? I know I'M certainly afraid that this may be true.

I'm mostly pacifistic, but I can see that the fascist scum who run the USA will not have their plans denied. See, they actually support BOTH candidates (in fact, Obama - not McCain - is reported to have majority support from Wall Street), so even if Obama wins it may be but fresh lipstick on the same old pig. I know Obama is very, very tempting, but rhetoric is easy to fake. I can understand that after the last eight years of a twit for a President it may be almost impossible to resist the temptation to vote for an expert liar instead of a moronic one, but c'mon, are we all still willing to play the same old game again?

Actually, I'm afraid that yes, even I may be so willing, because Obama is indeed irresistable after eight years of Bush. But, I'm resisting the temptation and I'm considering voting Independent yet again.

Since the right wing Republican corporate economic fascists so obviously and blatantly lie and the mainstream news media is owned by right wing corporate fascists, surely we can't trust the news, the polls, or even the election results. Or does one plus one NOT equal two anymore?

The proven hackable evoting machings are still in use. Apparently we really do require a REAL revolution. Sadly, Americans - even the left and independents - are too cowardly to call for one. Instead, those responsible for mass murder and mass disenfranchisement will remain free and obscenely rich, smilling with smug glee all the way to the grave.

Just about all of you seem to think you'll be able to trust the upcoming election results! Can't any of you perform even the simplest math?

This is it, folks: the beginning of the end of any semblance to justice in America. Unconscionable greed has reached a new zenith. And, it's just a matter of a short time now before overwhelmingly oppressive corporate cronyism (or corporate socialism or corporate fascism or whatever you want to call it) spreads to every capitalist country in the world. Voting won't prevent it, for the corporations own all the politicians. At best, voting might just slow it down a bit.

The only other effective protest we have, short of violent rebellion, is tax revolt.
