I just saw syriana....I understand why she thought it was complicated, but to my mind confusing the viewer with complications serves the message of movie. She should have mention that the cinematography, the sets, the music were brillant, spot on. This is a very important film.
These books are also great:
the life and extraordinary adventures of private chonkin by Valimir Voinevich
Siberian Express by Jeffery Tayler (?)

I don't always agree with you, but this time you hit the nail on the head...if the Republicans keep the house, you can sure that either the fix is in and will stay in, or that the pod-people have really become the majority...either way, the country that I grew up believing in is finished.
i was very peased to see you interviewing Mr. Ramadan. But I thought the questions were softballs. The interviewer seemed to have little knowledge of Islam. Perhaps you'd like to interview Ibn Warraq or Irshad Manji next.

I have nothing against action thrillers in principal...but this films' plot was absolutely ridiculous!! A Rocky and Bullwinkle episode has more going for it. I will take your reviews with a grain of salt.
I think I've figured out why I hate those things....the people who wear them remind me of the Borg.

Why can't the car makers come out with a car as good my '97 toyota tercel(real world 41mpg, 195,000 miles) or my '90 Honda CRX HF(49mpg highway)? There's no secret to making a car that gets high mpg; low weight (<2000lbs) and small four cylinder engine (1.5 liter or less) and no automatic transmission.
I found it very strange that no mention was made of Tears for Fears---Songs from the Big Chair deserves a place as one of the best albums to come out of new wave. David Sylvian and Bryan Ferry did excellent during this era.
