I think the white women for HRC coalition should vote for whomever they choose. I feel deeply saddened when I see Obama supporters wasting so much energy arguing with such people. I only have one request from these 'women': Please stop referring to yourself as 'women' and everyone else as, well, everyone else. I know that in your universe you are all that matter. I know that you judge femininity in through your own Gucci colored lenses.
But, I can't help but feel offended that as a black woman, I am not considered a woman. Somehow my child bearing ability, chromosomal makeup, genitalia, and personal struggle mean nothing in the face of these white women. I am other and therefore meaningless.
As you sulk, whine, bitch, and moan about the outcome of this election, try thinking for one moment about all of the WOMEN who suffer silently everyday while you enjoy your white privilege.
McCain '08? He does have a white wife...
Funny, indigo218, you're so tired of the race talk but you're not tired of bitter white women claiming that they are the only WOMEN that matter! Look, no non-white woman should be happy with this being characterized as a woman against man thing because PLENTY of women support Obama, we're just not all old, WHITE, and did I say, WHITE?
Wow. It's so easy to throw around loaded language on the web. No one can really challenge you. You can just ignore them and keep writing the same nonsense. How was this election unfair? None of you can explain that. HRC had everything going for her. She had the backing of the establishment. She was married to one of the most beloved presidents in modern history. She had it all. It was her contest to lose. And guess what? She lost fair and square. And not because of sexism, but because of arrogance. She truly thought it was in the bag. I mean, who'd actually vote for some black guy with that funny name?
But we did vote for him. And that's the mistake she made. She should have taken him seriously.
So, don't vote for him. That's okay. Keep repeating the lie that he has no experience (although he has more legislative experience than HRC). Fine. We're in the world of cyberspace and everything goes.
"How many times does Obama need to f-up before his promoters get reel nervous?"
You should be "reel" nervous yourself. Your candidate LOST. Doesn't that mean she F'd up?
Obama won't win because the bigots won't allow that to happen. Plain and simple. I always knew it wouldn't happen. Folks got really desperate and had to dig up his egotistical (and pathetic) former pastor to slime him! Somebody dug up a photo of him in Somalian garb to insinuate that he's a Muslim (all while screaming about his remaining a member of a black 'radical' CHURCH for 20 years)! Ooh, and let us not forget that middle name!
Obama made me feel for a moment that maybe, just maybe, anything was possible. HRC and her sycophants just made me wake up and smell the coffee.
"Our vote and protest have become about "principles." For many of we Clinton supporters, our protest has to do with seeing the undermining of the "democratic principles" upon which this country was founded. My family and other Clinton supporters love our country and we fear for our country."
It's painfully obvious what you fear. Good luck voting for McCain. It's nice to know you 'democrats' have principles.
LOL, I'm glad you found a black woman to quote. Now I know just what I'm supposed to think. You know we all think alike.
Oh, and why don't you and this 'black woman' check history. We've had some rather great presidents who, as you say, lack experience.
Can this get any better?
"He is unvetted, untested, a flip-flopper, have radical leanings yet has been known to pander to different people for political expediency. He's whatever the king maker wants him to be."
LOL, unvetted? Aren't you PUMBAS or whatever you're calling yourselves upset with him because of his associates? Weren't you just riveted by his pastor and the God Damn America sermon? What about the Somalian garb? His wife? Is this not what passes as vetting today?
Flip-flopper? Surely you jest. I remember when REAL democrats hated that phrase and what it did to Kerry's presidential bid. Now the so called democrats on this site love that phrase. Smells fishy. But anyway, I wonder what could be a bigger flip-flop if you will than HRC's stance on the borderline criminal IRAQ WAR?!!!
Radical leanings? My dear, it's radical to think a biracial man from meager beginnings could even dare to be president. Radical he is.
As I said earlier, I couldn't care less for whom you vote. I already know we're going to have 4 more years of war mongering. I just want it to be clear why that is. Let's ask the folks in WV, shall we?
