Readerreader my mom also believed in god but I don't think she was smarter than Nietzsche

However she was quite a bit smarter than Palin.

Uncle Fester how can the unity plan work?

Jimi appears down with it, but what about Readerreader? He acts all friendly, but I think you know that inside he's truly evil.

yes, pound them to paste. Why don't we just nuke them?

Why don't we just nuke everybody we don't like? There really is no downside...

Nuke them all. It's just a big cowboy movie anyway.

Saturday, October 31, 2009 05:01 PM

said dustari I am ok I guess

but I think someone needs to take a chainsaw to the pundit tree.

you've stopped in for a comment or two...but nothing has changed here.

"Peace never solves anything."

you've summed it up nicely.

the world's worst people are the Nazis

second worst are the Zombies.

Original article: Taking back the road trip

the road trip was a quasi-heroic male construct from the start

so I'm not sure how women could "take it back".

Sunday, November 1, 2009 06:19 PM

"Aping an adult star doesn't make a person a good lover any more than playing Rock Band makes him a musician."

Lying inert on your back doesn't make you a good lover, either.

Original article: Taking a few days off

"Palin for me was like Jackson's victory at Chalmette in 1814."

that's really the problem, isn't it.

Original article: Taking back the road trip

"Women want to reclaim the road trip"

"Blacks want to reclaim the country club"

"White males want to reclaim the sewing bee"

etc

Tuesday, November 3, 2009 01:51 PM
Original article: Taking a few days off

"the permanence of human conflict"

Most of human history was spent grubbing around on the ground wearing skins...if our past defines our future then there really is no hope for progress at all.

Tuesday, November 3, 2009 02:44 PM
Original article: Taking back the road trip

Asehpe

A "road trip" is something specific...I think perhaps these women were redefining it, rather than reclaiming it.

The french fry example isn't quite right, because the fries stay the same whatever you call them.

But the women changed the road trip. They changed it into a propaganda mission. This is why I'm saying they didn't "take it back".

this person's views are obviously plain to everyone in the office

Who appointed you "truth teller"?

Friday, November 6, 2009 08:54 PM

I don't really want to see a movie about a magic box.

he's 39, career military, and wanted to get married

Afghanistan is probably not chock full of potential brides for Army majors.

People are looking at this as political...I say it was sexual.

Saturday, November 7, 2009 01:32 PM

this fellow was just as much a part of the "war on muslims" in Ft. Hood as in Afghanistan

He counseled people and prescribed medication...the problem with going to Afghanistan was that it would be harder to date.

Saturday, November 7, 2009 02:50 PM

Hitler is the tool people use to make a point

but of course the example is overused and so has become ridiculous eg Hitler as soccer coach.

Saturday, November 7, 2009 04:15 PM

who is the worst of all???

Nazis are the gold standard in evil for the 20th century.

Perhaps evil brain-eating aliens are worse.

When these aliens finally land, we can say with confidence: "you are the worst"!

nazi-free conversation: try it!

Today at the store I ran into a woman who wanted to know about my motorcycle. She is also a motorcyclist...

During the very pleasant conversation, nobody mentioned Nazis.

It was amazing!

Saturday, November 7, 2009 07:30 PM

at first I couldn't believe it

nazi-free!

"The United States is the only industrialized nation that does not guarantee access to health care as a right of citizenship"

Myth One: The United States has the best health care system in the world.

Fact One: The United States ranks 23rd in infant mortality, down from 12th in 1960 and 21st in 1990

Fact Two: The United States ranks 20th in life expectancy for women down from 1st in 1945 and 13th in 1960

Fact Three: The United States ranks 21st in life expectancy for men down from 1st in 1945 and 17th in 1960.

Fact Four: The United States ranks between 50th and 100th in immunizations depending on the immunization. Overall US is 67th, right behind Botswana

Fact Five: Outcome studies on a variety of diseases, such as coronary artery disease, and renal failure show the United States to rank below Canada and a wide variety of industrialized nations.

what percentage of stressed-out mental health professionals become mass murderers?

Maybe the same percentage as the population overall?

33% of women strongly oppose more restrictions on abortion, vs 26% of men.

these people sound mentally ill.

once upon a time I thought that un-mated people were just unlucky, or the victims of bad timing

Now that I'm older I realize that we are not unlucky at all, but rather possess serious personality flaws that make successful dating unlikely.

So it is with your friends...and there is no easy way to inform them of this tragic truth.

"Naturally, these men were also unwilling to lower their standards a lot..."

When you lower your standards to the point where you get a date, you're where you should have been to start with.

The failure to recognize this is a "serious personality flaw".

ReaderReader hates us

He has found the perfect fingenails on the chalkboard tone, which he repeats over and over until people eventually go insane.

Then he acts all hurt, like he's just misunderstood.

Quite the evil person.
