@Bill Owen

Didn't say I wanted to sleep with him, just wondering why nobody around here is less then 100% right about everything.

Saturday, September 26, 2009 07:42 PM

"Never mind."

you're so in love with yourself...and that's great.

Saturday, September 26, 2009 07:48 PM

well I don't agree with mike317

but I've heard his opinion many times.

Saturday, September 26, 2009 07:56 PM

careful...

off topic posts will be erased from history!

Saturday, September 26, 2009 09:08 PM

well I saw the letter that was deleted

it was pretty long...sort of boring. Jew this, jew that...you know.

Saturday, September 26, 2009 09:19 PM

@K. Trout

I don't have the letter...and when they delete it it also diappears from the archive.

Electro Robot/Zorkna is deleted all the time...it's not a rare occurrence. The letter comes up and then disappears on the next refresh.

Sunday, September 27, 2009 11:35 AM

what's with the seasonal planning?

I thought the idea was air strikes on their nuclear facilities, not conducting Iraq III.

Sunday, September 27, 2009 12:11 PM

it's true, Iran has a very small military budget

there can't be much wrong with letting them build nuclear weapons...no real downside there. who made us the world's cop anyway?

it's good for their self-esteem.

Sunday, September 27, 2009 12:22 PM

hell, we should just GIVE them some nukes

it's just basic nuclear fairness...I think "nuclear fairness" sounds really nice.

We're just one global family of bomb-crazy sociopaths, all helping each other get the bombs we need!

Sunday, September 27, 2009 12:37 PM

Obama needs to start a special program for me

something where I can borrow $80K and never pay it back.

Sunday, September 27, 2009 12:49 PM

watch out spoincey

Obama is going to make it illegal to be YOU

Sunday, September 27, 2009 01:28 PM
Original article: Deal with it, liberals

"The United States of America and the U.S. constitutional democratic republic, upon which our nation stands, cannot and must not abide, any longer, the blighted stain and scandal of ACORN."

The Bush Administration set the bar pretty high for abiding blights on the Constitution...

Sunday, September 27, 2009 05:51 PM

I don't care that much if you give your kid a pink duckie or a blue duckie

just try not to beat them or lock them in the closet

Sunday, September 27, 2009 06:03 PM

I'd love to be a fly on the wall for this one

dude, you are toast

Sunday, September 27, 2009 08:06 PM

well they're your kids but they'll be living in my world soon enough

I know the school's values, yours not so much.

Monday, September 28, 2009 09:41 AM

the g-20 protesters are considered fringe even by the left

But the tea parties are being trumpeted as "mainstream".

he tried to retrieve his girlfriend from the dumpster

but she was gone

Monday, September 28, 2009 10:54 AM

leave virtue alone

let him cling to his skewed polls and bone-in-the-nose posters.

Monday, September 28, 2009 10:59 AM

I'm home sick with the flu today

how would ObamaCare change my situation?

would I have to put a bone in my nose? Or maybe take The Trotsky Pledge?

Monday, September 28, 2009 11:12 AM

Old Joe: I guarantee you - I will be the first to go to jail with a flag that says "Don't Tread On Me"!

I felt the same way about my sigmoidoscopy.

Monday, September 28, 2009 11:39 AM

sentences can be hard and confusing

luckily the right has words like "Nobama" and "ObamaCare" that can serve as stand-alone arguments when needed.

Monday, September 28, 2009 11:57 AM

auto insurance is required by law

we all pay into it to spread the risk.

When the insurance industry likes something, it's called "spread the risk"...when they don't like it, it's a "mandate".

But they're actually both the same thing!

Monday, September 28, 2009 12:31 PM

"He was willing to kill for politics, was a racist and anarchists."

oh

Monday, September 28, 2009 01:20 PM

Salon is really shooting ducks in a barrel with this whole Polanski double feature thing

they'll put him in jail soon enough

Monday, September 28, 2009 02:04 PM

I hope you agree

the dude is whack

Monday, September 28, 2009 02:11 PM

yes Nixon was so left

Hitler too...you know, National Socialism.

I used to be a liberal but now I'm scared because Nixon and Hitler are liberals too. Maybe I should vote for Sarah Palin?

Monday, September 28, 2009 03:55 PM

leave virtue alone

let him cling to his skewed polls and bone-in-the-nose posters.

Monday, September 28, 2009 04:16 PM

woe is me

I have the flu...potatoes and cabbage might work until ObamaCare gets here

Monday, September 28, 2009 04:20 PM

sorry virtue

I thought we were playing the "repost something over and over again" game.

Monday, September 28, 2009 04:24 PM

Rasmussen skewed?

http://politics.theatlantic.com/2009/04/rasmussen_and_gallup_skewing_obamas_approval.php

as for the bone in the nose poster...I guess you don't have your finger on the pulse of the common right-thinking man.

Monday, September 28, 2009 05:07 PM

Oswald was a puppet of shadowy forces that were indeed quite conservative

everyone knows that

Monday, September 28, 2009 05:17 PM

readerreader, I'm not disputing the facts

all I'm saying is that an ex-Marine pulled the trigger, not a communist.

Monday, September 28, 2009 05:23 PM

...the hysterical, flu-ridden liberal who is finally realizing that the Obama agenda is "Slip-slidin' Away."

you're wrong about that. America is in love with war, and Obama is going to give us plenty.

Monday, September 28, 2009 07:37 PM

"I'd be curious to see your evidence."

Readerreader, the evidence is all around us.

Monday, September 28, 2009 07:55 PM

readerreader, your zeal is, as always, disturbing

this whole conversation was initiated by the premise that there are more assassins who are left-wing than right wing.

Who cares? What does that prove? Nothing, that's what!

Tuesday, September 29, 2009 11:11 AM

The Pundit Tree

has many branches...

Tuesday, September 29, 2009 11:31 AM

"this year's ACORN scandal won't be pushed aside, because this time it includes 13-year-old sex slaves from El Salvador."

if that were really true, then the filmmakers would be in jail now.

Tuesday, September 29, 2009 11:49 AM

"Mr Breitbart is right on"

no, he's not...he's a thug, just like you are.

Tuesday, September 29, 2009 11:56 AM

these columnists float their tone poems out over the great unwashed masses, to see if anyone salutes

mostly it's nonsense...and that's ok

Tuesday, September 29, 2009 12:11 PM

it's meta-blogging

blogging for the new generation of cubicle potatoes

Tuesday, September 29, 2009 12:22 PM

it's raining shit around here

keep it up...Rome wasn't built in a day.

Tuesday, September 29, 2009 01:11 PM

the concept of a social contract doesn't exist for these people

they have their rig, $120,000 house, AR-15, kids, spouse, job, maybe a neighbor or two, and maybe a church...that's it. The world ends here.

Naturally they see any changes to their accustomed environment as a threat.

Tuesday, September 29, 2009 01:28 PM

the AK47 is your basic crazed peasant type weapon

whereas the AR15 is more your crewcut number.

Tuesday, September 29, 2009 01:51 PM

Well Mr. Bastard, out here in Orey-gun the AR15 is mighty popular

what with the End Times just around the corner and all

Tuesday, September 29, 2009 02:10 PM

what do you gain with your envy?

what do you gain by letting it go?

Tuesday, September 29, 2009 03:56 PM

why americans won't work for $5/hr anymore

landlords won't take $200/mo for rent anymore.

Tuesday, September 29, 2009 04:41 PM

"Am I wrong?"

gee, I've only heard this speech about 100 times so far...why don't you try giving it to a CEO?

Tuesday, September 29, 2009 04:54 PM

Zorkna, someone has to perform routine chassis lubrication

not everyone can follow your Unibomber-like career path.

Tuesday, September 29, 2009 08:24 PM
Original article: How do I become an adult?

in my area of work, many of my colleagues are younger and have graduate degrees

with all the emails, voicemails, meetings etc. we sometimes have "analysis paralysis", which is the failure to recognize that any decision may be better than no decision at all.

If you "missed the memo", consider the alternative approach: "fake it 'til you make it".

Tuesday, September 29, 2009 08:34 PM

people would rather spend $100/month on netflix than on an equitable healthcare system

eventually, when all the US cities are in flames, the rich will build a chinese wall around Santa Barbara county and move out there.

Tuesday, September 29, 2009 09:47 PM

readerreader your eagerness to gloat is really pathetic

the fight is just getting started...and all the bullies are on your side.

Monday, October 5, 2009 12:20 PM

the 12 steps do not specifically mention sex

I would assume that any 24 year old getting friendly with me was working the $ step

Monday, October 5, 2009 12:29 PM

beyond left and right

you are for the evil...and we are for the good.

and so it was written that the Smurfs and the Ewoks came down from heaven to annoint the holy, in their war against Hitler, Stalin and Jon Gosslein.

Monday, October 5, 2009 12:49 PM

distinguishing the far left from the far right

the far right has better looking uniforms

Monday, October 5, 2009 12:57 PM

alright U.B. I conceded your point

but I thought you were banned, or maybe re-banned...

Monday, October 5, 2009 04:24 PM

revoke london lad's drivers license

he didn't show his long form to me

Wednesday, October 7, 2009 10:05 AM

a "gut punch"?

it's just a magazine...go to Williams-Sonoma, you'll feel better.

Wednesday, October 7, 2009 01:54 PM

Obama has met the legal requirements for proof of birth

providing any other documents would be caving in to an extremist pressure group.

Wednesday, October 7, 2009 02:32 PM

buried in the boilerplate is the standard birther refrain

It just seems curious that after all of the ink devoted to this weird and probably stupid story, that somebody would not have looked at the original birth certificate. Did they?

Has anyone taken a DNA sample? Has anyone looked at his gums?

Wednesday, October 7, 2009 02:58 PM

obviously the birther movement wants one of their own (DeLay?) to examine the document

so they can say it's fake.

Thursday, October 8, 2009 09:21 AM

"What do I do when?"

Someone who can't come to grips with everyday english expressions and common social interactions...is writing an advice column?

Thursday, October 8, 2009 04:42 PM

adnoto you can google "salon david sugarman" and see all his letters

in all their glory.

Original article: Obama's Nobel Peace Prize

an award for not being Bush

Not being Bush is no small thing, for the rest of the world.

Friday, October 9, 2009 10:52 AM
Original article: Obama's Nobel Peace Prize

"That thing they just "dropped" made a crater 30% as large as a football field."

Your use of quotes would indicate that you think this was some sort of explosive device...however the object was going twice as fast as a bullet and had a large amount of kinetic energy.

Friday, October 9, 2009 11:03 AM
Original article: Obama's Nobel Peace Prize

"Really? The warmongering Chris Matthews of 2003 is exactly the same as those of us who appreciate European & world opinion?"

The logic diagram looks the same, apparently.
