But the thing is, the Middle Class does much better under Democratic rule.
by overall world standards, everyone in the American middle class does reasonably well regardless of who's in power.
So the whole thing becomes just about ideology.
I didn't mean to say there was no difference...what I meant was that in reference to the rest of the world, there is no practical difference. A middle class American who makes $45k/yr is not really much different from one who makes $50k/yr.
In other words, the average middle-class conservative is probably more attached to their ideology than a 5 percent increase in pay.
To put it yet another way...the cost barrier to radicalizing a conservative is quite high. Do you really think otherwise?
I'm just trying to get across the idea that people don't really do a cost benefit analysis unless the difference is really dramatic, IMO. They're emotionally attached to their ideology.
Yes, for the lower class it's worse...I was only talking about the middle class.
There's a group some people refer to informally as the "low right". For some reason these people won't budge, even though being right wing hasn't really done much for them.
one can always hope
Palin "grifted" her constituents when she quit her job to go out and score points against Obama while racking up big speaking fees.
Unless it doesn't matter if Palin was governor of Alaska or not...which is entirely possible.
just wondering
but she would have to call me her little duckie-pie
so it makes sense to organize these folks into a group and have the govenment insure them...we end up paying either way, but having some managenment of care is a good idea.
grr!
the zombie nature of man was examined at length by Kant.
it sounds comparable to what some other people have gotten for that sort of thing.
When elected Palin will no doubt return us to the gold standard, and give tax credits to steamship builders.
to quote you, I am one of the Um-ericans!
I felt the same way about Dorothy Hamill when I was 14.
she had many imitators.

Just WHAT does the cougar desire?
it's not really taking off around here...
Stephanie Zacharek says right up front that she agrees with Moore's politics. She just doesn't like how he packages them.
Since Zacharek is a movie reviewer and not a political essayist, I don't see what the problem is.
we want it with sugar sprinkles and a cherry on top
or whatever
develop some "fantasy friends" of your own, and observe the remaining parts of your life crumble.
It's liberating!
overexposure - Exposure to a hazardous material beyond the allowable exposure limits
the results of this survey are not surprising to me.
yes we just need the trains to run on time
yeah, these people were "stupid": they expected the company to do what they charged for.
With "Capitalism: A Love Story," he's preaching to people who have already been converted, 20 times over. As for the others, no matter how loudly he shouts through his bullhorn, he's not going to get their attention.
people generally marry inside their social class, random articles about trophy wives notwithstanding.
But the old news that Americans are classist and materialistic must always be warped to fit the Broadsheet gender warfare framework...in this case, the framework about discourse on marriage itself.
maybe a musical instrument, or building model airplanes
or if it sucks
The company requested that these people NOT contact the mortgage company, for reasons explained in the article.
Of course the real reason was to make their fraud harder to contest ("what kind of idiot would wait several months...", etc).
Con artists understand what is legal and what is not, which is why they try to muddy the water whenever possible.
this is false, regardless of how impressive his bibliography is.
"...not only does volcanic CO2 not dwarf that of human activity, it actually comprises less than 1 percent of that value."

how childish
Look, those trains go round and round, over hill and dale.
It's exciting.
if you think Salon is a breaking news site you're looking in the wrong place.
somebody just needs to invent a car that runs on dirt.
however we could start a new trend

why not post an ad about shoes in EVERY thread!
for example, said dustari doesn't seem to want to be in any club that would have him as a member...to quote Woody Allen.
PICTURES OF BABES
luckily it was just benign polyps.
Just wanted to share that with you.
what are we going to do????
Human beings have no demonstrated ability to limit either their numbers, or their environmentally harmful industrial activity.
Airflow affects oxygen level. If the airflow slows, outside air coming in slows too and the oxygen level goes down due to the production of CO2 by the passengers.
But we don't have to worry about that, because pilots never turn off a pack. Except when there aren't many passengers, or something like that.
Having been at 5000' and above numerous times, it's my opinion that the negative effects I and other people experience while flying are mainly to to the fact that the cabins are pressurized to 5000'.

Bush told us, along with so many others, about the generational, decades long struggle against terrorism...
I thought the argument was whether or not to conduct limited air strikes against Iranian nuclear assets.
convince Obama why he shouldn't call airstrikes against Iran.
