Old Joe

I wouldn't invest all my money in one company, even if they had the highest rate of return last year...and I don't get all my political information from only one polling organization.

@Cuchulain2007

There's a large group of people in this country who only care about the tax witholding on their paycheck, their "rig", and the ability of the US to "kick ass". So it's no surprise that we have a huge military and sub-par health care.

These people would rather put five thousand dollars for a broken wrist on a credit card (and declare bankruptcy a year or two later) than make a steady contribution to the nation's overall healthcare plan.

They're not stupid people...they just have an emotional deficit, most of them anyway. Rush and Beck speak to them direcly, with no government intervention and no liberal college professor giving them a post-test. They're the reason why we're going to have trouble getting health care passed, and the military trimmed.

"Self payers use medicine wisely and conservatively--they're paying for it themselves, they don't buy BS drug advertising."

You seem to be saying that the current insurance system wastes resources.

"Together Fannie and Freddie have now led the entire world into the worst economic collapse in 80 years."

The economic collapse you're talking about was caused by 8 years of the Bush Administration.

the really strange people are the ones who think that the current health care system is the solution. And who think universal health care coverage is fundamentally impossible.

it seems like a person's racism would become fixed after a certain age

so I'm wondering if Obama's fall in the polls isn't due to something else...not that there isn't racism, but that existing racism is too static to change in 6 months.

Tuesday, September 15, 2009 04:25 PM

Virtue001, I'm just wondering why you need to fan the race flames...

when the number of white kids attacked by black kids is statically small.

as for my location...let's just say it's west of the Rockies and bigger than a breadbox.

Tuesday, September 15, 2009 05:28 PM

@Unlovely

the point is, you lack credibility in general.

your "statistic" is a good example. While the ratio might be correct (and I'm not saying it is), the larger picture shows that blacks are more likely to be murdered in our society, and that most murders are carried out within a particular race.

A very small number of murders (if I still have your limited attention) are cross-race...and it appears that this ratio favors black on white murder. BUT THIS IS JUST A SMALL NUMBER OF MURDERS RELATIVE TO THE OVERALL TOTAL.

So you're full of it.
