Cut the crappe, CMNeill

Remember that, as you pull the lever for McCain.

What is this, the blackmail hour? Maybe the Obama troops should've thought more about trying to destroy the Clintons with the race mongering bit. That would've been just a tad bit more honorable.

BTW, is there some guarantee that Obama would get us out of Iraq any faster or less destructively for all concerned than would McCain? Obama doesn't exactly have a track record of getting much of anything done, or even sticking to his promises. So why the hell should anyone believe he'd do any better than McCain?

@delores

I believe Obama lied when he promised the citizens of IL he wouldn't immediately pursue a higher office (e.g., the presidency) when he ran for the U.S. Senate. I believe he lied about the duration and nature of his relationship with Rezko. I believe he lied about being unaware of the nature of Wright's fiery sermons and some of his more outrageous claims. I believe he did a whole lot of lying (more politely known as fabricating) in his two autobiographies. Obama has been allowed to lie over and over again. You tell me why.

@meffert - more silence

What you did not address was the reason I cannot vote for Obama: his complicity in the smearing of the Clintons as race mongerers. This has absolutely nothing to do with DNC mechanics. Absolutely nothing at all. And since you didn't address the heart of the matter, it's to be assumed that there is no getting around it. And there isn't.

Oh, stuff it, manos

Joan Walsh may think you have your cute pet rock moments, but some of us remember all too well some of your nastier hits, often in concert with your old bud tompayne. To each her own.

@veronica - ding ding, we have a winner

But then, again, maybe the Democrats don't really want to win. Maybe they just want all the new money Obama has brought into the party, and maybe the office holders just want to get re-elected.

Can you spell "Obama's donor list", kids? Nice chunka change, huh, Harry, Nance, Johnny, Teddy, John John, and all you other guys and gals in the gang?

come again, l'son?

We've even admitted Obama basically is down to either just a Pennsylvania or Ohio problem depending on which he feels he needs.

So, Obama is now able to snap his fingers and summon states to supply him with the requisite numbers? Are you kidding?

gosh, it's my turn to say it!

Nancianne is a full-time Obama campaign staffer subsidized by Karl Rove, in other words, SHE'S A LURKING NEOCON TROLL!!!!

Give it a rest, Ms. Nanci and all who post these juvenile accusations of trolldom on the part of Clinton supporters. It's quite obvious that far too many Obamaites define 'troll' as 'anyone who doesn't worship at the feet of Obama'. So, yeah, we're heretics. Consider it a divine right and shut the hell up.

Slicing and dicing and dishonesty

Over the past months, Hillary Clinton has been sliced and diced not only by the MSM, but also by Obama and his campaign. So wherever she can find a defender, more power to her. It's completely dishonest to portray Obama as being such a gentleman this past week, while impugning McCain, who, compared to Obama, has been a saint on the subject of Hillary Clinton. Because Obama and his minions have so badly smeared and humiliated Hillary, the Senator from Chicago has lost the votes of millions of American voters and he won't be getting them back. Those bridges have been burned, with matches supplied by Barack "Who, Me?" Obama himself.

calgodot - failed astrologist

My take on KateTex: she's a 55-year old divorced Pisces female from Texas, who loves Grey's Anatomy and Boston Legal. This would put her right smack in the middle of Hillary's demographic. She's Joan Walsh with a Texas accent.

I'm sure my husband will get a big kick out of this, oh, dotty one. FYI, I'm an Illinois native, lived in New Orleans for 30 years (until Katrina kicked us out), haven't watched TV in many months. I'm a lover of Tolstoy, Dickens, John Irving, Jonathan Franzen, Iris Murdoch, and countless others; an audiophile partial to Sibelius (not Kathleen, sorry), Gerald Finzi, John Rutter's choral works, Dylan of course, and Leon Redbone; an avid reader whose bed is nearly buried under books and New Yorkers; a lifelong bicyclist and outdoor enthusiast, a writer for dogs years, a onetime interior designer who currently restores antique maps and prints, a thrift shop devotee from way back. My husband, a wonderful guy, was a New Orleans firefighter for 26 years (had to retire early because of horribly botched surgery just before Katrina). Oh, and I'm a Virgo, for whatever that's worth (which in my book is precisely nada), and a lifelong political junkie who's a registered Independent.

So, put that in your demographic pipe and smoke it.

@jeffersonian

Many of your remarks on this site reek of elitism and snobbery. They are hardly the words of a progressive; they're much closer to that of a hater. Don't think the very Clinton supporters who are the targets of your scorn aren't aware of the fact that Obama attracts many supporters who speak like you. You're one of the reasons his candidacy will fail - and rightly so.

I've been wondering for some time now why you chose the screen name you have, since Thomas Jefferson would certainly condemn the likes of you.

Obama's hypocrisy

Isn't this the candidate who talks of burning 'clean coal'? Isn't this the candidate who cozied up to Excelon, trashing his constituents in the process? Far as I know, Obama's record on the environment is a negative one, so where does he get off criticizing McCain?

Monday, May 12, 2008 05:35 PM

@lcwilli - the new math

IF Hillary supporters think she can win with only half the party supporting her, well, go for it...

So, Obama's half somehow counts for more than Hillary's half? Spoken like a true Obamaite.

@calibre - apology accepted

If you all are actually that viscerally against Obama and I'm way off base here about why, then I guess I apologize and instead just shrug and say, "weird."

One voter's weird is another's sane.
