This is sickening

Do Obama partisans have ANY idea of how many white voters will not vote for him simply because they are 1) sick and tired of being called racists if they support Clinton, and 2) have no desire to spend 4-8 years either actively being called racists or remaining under suspicion if they should dare to criticize Obama? Look at the dynamics on this forum, the tremendous number of occasions seized by Obamaites to call Clinton posters racist - with no evidence whatsoever and with the knowledge that one can't disprove a negative.

So, yeah, this is sickening. And it will almost guarantee McCain's election. You can take that to the bank.

McCain ain't Hillary

Obviously, McCain plans to take aim at the now famous, passive aggressive Obama style of campaigning. The gloves are gonna come off early and often, and though some of the punches will go astray, some of them will undoubtedly have their effect. No fair crying foul on Obama's behalf, either, as his campaign has been about as down and dirty as they come (call it Axelrod Syndrome). This time it's gonna be guy on guy, Republican on Democrat, so McCain isn't going to be hounded by the media for going negative on Obama.

Why isn't salon - or anyone - covering THIS

Posted above by lindseyab and bears repeating:

According to http://www.govtrack.us/, Hillary Clinton actually showed up for work in her first three years in the US Senate. Obama did not. She missed 9 votes in those first three years. Obama missed 177 in his first three years. In fact, he has missed more votes in his three years than she has in her 7 years.

After "passing" on voting for over 100 bills in his state legislature, Obama...

Not a single Obama supporter has contested these numbers. Why? Because they're true? If so, this is pretty damning. Does salon have any intention of addressing this rather important subject? If not, why not?

@sigmund

I see the numbers posted above didn't agree with you. Would you like to contest them? Are they a lie? Or do they just make you uncomfortable because, for once, you can't peg me as being a racist, because what I (re)posted consisted of objective numbers?

@antineocon

"Obama was saying I think today, that he was getting so unfairly clobbered by HRC that he had to respond or else everybody would perceive him as being a wimp. He regrets the times he reacted negatively and was proud of the times when he wanted to, but resisted, and took the high-road."

So, does your candidate regret painting the Clintons as users of black American voters? Of course, it's easy to see why Obama would 'respond' in this particular way, when black voters weren't exactly flocking to his cause. Problem, this was a rather pre-emptive 'response', was it not?

The reality here is that Obama has made an art form of passive aggression. He's a born master of this particularly unpleasant human behavior, an attribute which does not make him wear well over the long term.

Bravo gala11

Many of us out here agree with everything you said. And what's more, you've been distinguished by being accused of being ShawnInDisguise - that means your post hit a nerve. Congrats and welcome to the ranks.

As for me, as soon as the Dems finish locking out Hillary, I'm outta here, except to check back in every now and then for a hit of fear and loathing (this time with a new target).

The Dems have made sure there's no place for voters like you and me to go in this election, so let's hear it for a third party - the Independents (I'm already signed up). Millions of us are ripe for a Hillary realignment and I hope to hell she can find it in herself to break away. This country desperately needs to abandon the two-party system, as it's broke and busted, leaving far too many of us totally disgusted with candidates who can't be trusted.

Sorry, meffert

There's no way on earth Hillary Clinton would accept the vice-presidential crumbs at Obama's table. Forget it. Ain't gonna happen. That would give far too much satisfaction to the bully boyz in the Obama campaign and the MSM. Besides, the woman's way too good to be wasted on doing Obama's homework for him. High time he did his own.

As far as the death-with-dignity bit goes - this is just more b.s, calculated to further bury Hillary using recently standardized leftist bully boy tactics.

@ajcalhoun - a real party putscher

Some of us are wondering when you lot will start handing out jackboots to go with the speeches. Must be some left over somewhere. Germany? Austria? Italy, maybe (such craftsmanship)?

actually, antineocon

"But I agree with the posting put forth by Hutman that Katetex, proudtexasgal, lolcait, akasmith, shaun, et al, all seem to be spouting the same story lines as though they are being fed them and then posted. It seems very organized! Also, it is so consistent with the devious tactics employed by the Clintons."

All five of us are being held captive in Bill's basement in Harlem, force fed Krispy Kreme donuts from dawn 'til dusk as we tap out messages dictated to us by Karl Rove's younger brother. We are getting weak and drawn and don't know if we can make it through another day. PLEASE SEND HELP!!!

(Brings a whole new meaning to the rove-ing ISP, dudn'it?)

@YBarrister

The anti-Obama propagandists here aren't representative of the vast majority of Clinton Supporters.

You are dead wrong. There are messages all over the Internet from Clinton supporters who are seeing purple. Even red. And for very good reason.

Are Obama supporters so flipping myopic they can't begin to see that their cause has gone terribly wrong in doing just about everything possible to deeply alienate the Clinton opposition over the past months? Is the supply of hubris in the universe that unlimited? Do you really believe those voter polls in Indiana were fabricated?
