@jeffersonian
[Read the article: How Hillary Clinton botched the black vote]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Was your post addressed to me? If so, you owe me an enormous apology, not that I expect to ever see one. You are way out of line, as are all the other posters trying to demonize as craven racists those who are not for Obama. I shudder to think what the dynamics might be if your candidate should attain the White House. Will the least criticisms of him occasion attacks such as yours? Have you stopped to think that these unwarranted attacks might give warranted pause to many voters? Because they do.

[Read the article: Michael Wolff on sex and the Dems]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Ever think of applying for a job as assistant to Michael Wolff? You'd fill the bill. Perfectly.

Hillary hating
[Read the article: Clinton math]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Okay, can we can the 'I hate Hillary' nonsense? If you really hate her, you have no business calling yourself a progressive of any sort. You may have your reasons for not favoring her candidacy, but the knee deep vitriol is a sign that there's something terribly wrong with you, the voter. I have a great deal of difficulty picturing myself voting for a candidate who appeals to such incredibly nasty people.

Not so sure about the healing part
[Read the article: Deep Democratic dissatisfaction]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The unprecedented vitriol pitched at Clinton and her supporters from far too many angles is almost certainly going to have a lasting effect. Also, residual anger/bitterness aside, many Clintonites just don't believe Obama is suited to be president of this country. They most certainly are dead tired of being told that they are racists for not believing He's The One.

[Read the article: Deep Democratic dissatisfaction]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"We take the issue of fairness very, very seriously."
And Maya Angelou doesn't? How about Sheila Jackson Lee? Mayor Nutter? John L. Lewis (who was shamefully and very publicly pressured into switching his support to Obama)? There and others. And you undoubtedly know their names. This smearing of the Clintons has got to be one of the most vile political chapters in the annals of the Democratic party. It's fine for blacks to support Obama; it's not fine for them to violate the Clintons in the process.

@jeffersonian
[Read the article: Deep Democratic dissatisfaction]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]From CQ Politics, Feb. 27:
Obama's African-American supporters in Congress have put pressure on their black colleagues in the Clinton camp to change their allegiance. That pressure has included the suggestion that they could face tough primary challenges if they do not toe the Obama line.
Lewis was one of many early African American Clinton backers whose districts favored Obama in primaries this year. He cited his constituents' preference for Obama as a reason for changing his mind.
Lewis drew a primary challenge last week from 30-year-old minister Markel Hutchins. Invoking Obama's campaign in his Feb. 20 kickoff speech, Hutchins said he will be running against a politician much older than himself who represents an obsolete brand of politics.
By the way, I'm not sure how I got on your List, but your civility is rather underwhelming. A liar I'm not.

YESSSSSSSS!!!
[Read the article: CBS calls Indiana for Clinton]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Okay, so the heading was a little sophomoric. But it just felt so good.

@slc
[Read the article: Race and the race]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"Do we get to stop pretending that Hillary has a chance to win now?"
No, not as long as we continue to pretend that FL & MI don't exist.

Just another of the Obama rules
[Read the article: In speech, Obama looks to be a uniter]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The candidate stays, somewhat, but only somewhat above the fray, while his surrogates do the dirty work for him. Without his knowledge, of course (cough). Sorry, too late for Obama to be a 'uniter'. That one doesn't fly anymore.
-
@slc
[Read the article: Race and the race]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Well, guess what, some of us aren't exactly crazy. Yes, the platforms are pretty close. But ability to carry out what's promised in those platforms? Some of us believe Hillary is head and shoulders above Obama as far as governing ability goes. And therein lies all the difference. What if I believe that Obama doesn't have what it takes to be a sound president?
-
@Mark
[Read the article: Race and the race]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You forgot a pretty salient point re MI & FL: Obama has been doing his damndest to make sure they disappear from the primary map.
-
Gracious in victory?
[Read the article: Clinton says "full speed on to the White House"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Sorry, HP, but not too many in the Obama camp have been anywhere close to gracious, pre-victory. This is the nastiest intraparty fight, bar none, that I have ever witnessed and by far the greater part of that nastiness has been generated by the Obama faction. That's going to have major consequences come the general. It's too late to take back all the slash and burn stuff. Way too late.

@tony
[Read the article: In speech, Obama looks to be a uniter]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]So why even vote for Obama? If you're that disgusted with the Democratic party (for very good reason), why give it your vote this November? There is an alternative: just stay home. After all, none of us will go to hell. Unlike the DNC and the MSM blowhards.

@syphax
[Read the article: Clinton says "full speed on to the White House"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I do know myself. And I know that the Obama campaign has played very dirty, Axelrod grease all the way. I cannot vote for someone who plays the game like that. I just can't.
And no, jeffersonian, it isn't because Obama is a darkie, much as you'd like to convince yourself - and others - of that. It's because I believe Obama is a complete fraud. Frauds come in all colors, you'll have to admit.
-
@MichaelR
[Read the article: Will tonight be a "tiebreaker" or a "game changer?"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"Obama is, has reintroduced successful dignity to campaigning."
That was a joke, right? Axelrod himself would fall off the chair. In private, of course.
-
@JohnM
[Read the article: Will tonight be a "tiebreaker" or a "game changer?"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]But of course, if the shoe were on Hillary Clinton's foot... Come on, Obamaites would be all over Hillary if she adopted a dog which belonged to an old man who once lived a mile from the guy who bought the dog from his uncle the Hamas fundraiser who lived in Toledo. Gimme a break.
