It doesn't matter how many times Obama's 'inconsistencies' (sometimes known as lies or obfuscations) are pointed out to his supporters. The latter long ago closed their eyes and dug in their heels, preferring instead to take aim at Hillary Clinton (and her supporters - primarily undereducated racists). In case you haven't noticed, with the fade-out of hope and change, the new narrative centers around a death grip on 'the numbers'. These numbers may exclude anyone hailing from Michigan or Florida, but hey, what tale doesn't have its minor imperfections?

I might've found your post a tad more sympathetic if you had been able to resist saying, "Wait a second. Am I actually trying to have a reasonable debate with someone who suggested "Pigs Before N*gs" as a counter to "Bros Before Hos"?"

You know damn well I was countering a poster who stated that anyone who doesn't find "Bros Before Hos" amusing has some serious issues. I asked if he would find my counter slogan equally amusing. Nothing like leaving out the context, huh?

Okay, this is my last entry in the slinging match. You've nailed me, I'm a stone racist, and that's why I support Hillary Clinton. Give me a break. "Whore" isn't exactly a compliment, is it? I find the term extraordinarily objectionable in many contexts, including when it's applied to a perfectly decent female candidate for president. You've taken a cheap shot. Let it go at that.

You're not exactly a great advertisement for your candidate, nor are the many thousands of other Obama supporters who have felt perfectly free to lob the most vile insults at Clinton and her supporters over the past few months. And some of you wonder why so many Hillary fans have become more than a little averse to ever voting for Obama? What sort of signals has Obama been giving off that green light the kind of slimy attacks so many of his supporters specialize in? Who would want to belong to any club that would have you?

This 'idiot' is a chronic voter, as are the many other 'idiots', well, make that 'racist idiots' who have been so badly mauled by Obamaites that they have been almost completely alienated from your candidate, some of them forever. What is this magical thinking that says, "Okay, I can say the nastiest, most vile things about Clinton and her supporters because, come November if it's McCain and Obama, they'll be in a trick box." Guess again. There's always the option of staying home. Hard as it may be for you and your fellow haters to fathom, some of the 'idiots' you love to slash have healthy consciences, which they consult when they vote. Mine seems to answer that I don't have a duty to vote for something I can't quite respect.

You tend to make Hillary Clinton sound like......a human being. Balls and all. Can't have that, now can we?

Perhaps Hillary decided to show up on Fox because (drum roll as hell freezes over) it's the ONLY television network which has given her an even halfway fair shake in recent months. Speaking of which, the following piece is a must-read for anybody who has the slightest concern about the Fourth Estate running rampant. The writer addresses the fact that Hillary Clinton is the first candidate EVER to have been pressured by the frigging media to bow out of a presidential primary (now, there's objectivity for you). This piece doesn't venture into analysis as to why this is happening, a subject which obviously needs to be addressed by someone soon. Someone, that is, other than the 14 million voters, many of them quite angry, who have voted for Hillary and who continue to be blithely ignored by the MSM.

If saying "Obama's supporters are simply BETTER PEOPLE than Hillary's" is supposed to be some sort of joke, you're going to need to supply the punchline. I, for one, don't get it. If you're serious here, your absolutism is rather breathtaking.

Since we don't have pay channels, I've never had an opportunity to watch This American Life on Showtime. But I have been wondering for some years now what exactly Ira Glass might look like. Well, thanks to salon, I now know exactly what he looks like, less like John Turturro than I might have imagined, but close enough. Ira's image makes a really welcome change from The Other Guy whose face has been all over salon for weeks and weeks now. Thanks!

p.s. You've done a great job of capturing TAL's somewhat illusive ambiance, Rebecca.

Every time it appears that Obama supporter comments can't get any uglier or more bitter, someone like you comes along. Give it a rest, okay?

You do realize that every time Hillary Clinton is referred to as a 'whore' by some ignorant male or female Obama supporter, that's one more nail in the Obama political coffin? if not, you'd better catch on real soon, because it's getting harder and harder to locate Clinton supporters who will give the smallest damn if and when your guy goes down in flames. What is it about Obama that attracts such truly nasty disciples, anyway?

  • I'll tell you what's uglier and more bitter, xufa

You're being pretty disingenuous here. Meffert's clear meaning is that in Hillaryland, the votes of 'people of color' don't mean a damned thing. The same old tired beaten to death entirely false ugly racist bit.

Apparently you belong to the We'd Rather Stiff Clinton and Nominate a Candidate Who Can't Win Against McCain School of Political Thought and Suicidal Impulse. Yes, the Democrats are in a very touchy situation, but it's of their own making. It was a huge mistake to train the party's 'racist' and 'liar' cannons on Hillary Clinton, that much is clear. The devil is now exacting his due and it's a tidy sum.
